Story

Woodlawn Park Cemetery – South opened to serve the families of the Kendall area in 1967. The cemetery encompasses 58 acres of ground burial sites in carefully manicured gardens. Today, Woodlawn Park Cemetery – South is among the nation’s most beautiful cemeteries. The cemetery is an official bird sanctuary, and many of the cemetery’s trees and plants are home to several different species of birds throughout the gardens.

In 1990, Caballero Kendall Funeral Home was built on the grounds of Woodlawn Park Cemetery – South, offering families the convenience of making both funeral and cemetery arrangements at one location. Caballero Kendall Funeral Home and Woodlawn Park Cemetery-South is the only combination facility north of Naranja and south of the city of Hialeah.
