This place is hit and miss and we've had our final miss about a week ago. We love to sit at the bar, best seats in the house even if you have to wait. On our last (and final) visit it took over 10 minutes to get at least one (of the three) bartenders attention for a brunch drink...this is ironic since we at the bar. Wasn't that busy (post brunch about 2:00 pm) Finally when the food showed up the eggs where overdone, potatoes cold, toast was overly soggy and bartender never checked up on us. This is quite surprising since not every visit has been like this. Some of our visits are good, we're friendly folk, smile and tip well, but this time we're done. Cafe Central is much better, less ego. Either change the guard at the bar or retrain the staff...total knobs. (except for dude with Milwaukee Tattoo on arm, he's always been cool)

This place was highly recommended, so I know it pleases many people. The ambiance is pretty cool and the patio area looked nice. However aside from that I didn't feel like it was anything spectacular. Service was strangely slow, and my food was only a bit above average. I think the trendiness is a draw for many people.

Holy cow this Cafe is amazing. Found myself caught up in European culture on my early Sunday afternoon trip to this great Euro-gastropub. It was about an 25 minute wait at 11:30 on a Sunday. Typical wait and would recommend reservations beforehand if they accept them. Worth a call and definitely worth the wait! Had the Hodge Podge and it was fresh and delectable!

A very trendy and fun place. Simple food with fine tuning. Great beer pairings listed with each meal. Extensive beer menu. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal!

I'm not really sure what I was expecting here. These are the same folks that operate Cafe Central in Bay View, so I thought it would be a similar experience. Turns out, it was nearly a cloned experience. I'll admit, I think I was initially soured because of having to pay downtown rates for parking. While parking can be difficult in Bay View, it can be downright impossible downtown. Getting that out of the way, we can talk about the experience. Our server, while "friendly" was pretty urgent and pushy. We had arrived before the big brunch crowd, so we were a little put off by it. When we finally ordered, she seemed relieved. When our food arrived, it was delivered by (what I'd assume to be) a member of the kitchen staff who was NOT happy to be there. While we ate, the restaurant got busy, and our server all but disappeared. Not that surprising, but a bit annoying. The food was fairly tasty and reasonable, but nothing different than what you could get in Bay View. Our curiosity has been satisfied, I doubt we'll be going back.
