Story

Baking wedding cakes is our specialty. Select from traditional styles to unique works of art. Our cakes are specially prepared for you with only the freshest ingredients and extracts for a truly extraordinary wedding celebration. We have a large selection of cake flavors and we specialize in filled wedding cakes. All cakes are custom matched to your bridal colors and theme.
We also provide an amazing array of personalized wedding favors, from chocolate suckers, to cookies, to pastry trays, to caramel apples. You name it we can probably do it.

We also have many albums from which to choose your invitations, programs, napkins, etc. And don't forget the flowers and balloons. We have been putting together wedding flower and balloon arrangements for many happy couples.

The only and I mean ONLY reason this company is getting one star is so I could write this review. First of all let me state that every item that Kitty supplied for my sisters wedding was filthy. Huge stains all over the table cloths and even stains on the table runners. The dishes were disgusting, dried crusty food on plates, god knows what stuck to almost every single wine glass, some of the silverware was even rusted, so much so I had to repeatedly remove them from the tables as WE the bridal party set the tables that her staff was supposed to do. Kitty was so unorganized it was unreal. She even tried to set tables with mismatched glasses, wine, champange, and some other kind just randomly scattered all over the tables. We were told and it's stated in the contract that we were allowed to come in the night before to set up the decorations and then when the time came she acted as though we were insane for thinking we could do this. She tried to tell us that we had to come in at 11:00am the day of the wedding. (Honestly who has time to set up an entire reception hall at 11:00am when the wedding started at 3:00pm) She did nothing but make rude comments about every person involved in the wedding. She even had the nerve to call and request to speak to the bride at the end of the night and make derogatory comments and threaten to call the police and press charges on my sister(the bride). Which she did call the police and proceeded to lie and say there were multiple fist fights happening and they needed to intervene. Which mind you I spoke with the officer that arrived and he even stated to me that everything was fine in his eyes. Even the male bartender said that we were all great and created no issues and went and spoke the officer and backed us up. The female bartender even called my sister a b**** after she got off the phone, to the groom! The bouquets that Kitty made wilted before we even got to the reception. The cake was sinking inwards and did not meet the quality of what they were promised. If it wasn't for the beautiful decorations that my sister's now mother-in-law made for this wedding and the low lighting it would have looked like a trash wedding. As a wedding planner Kitty had absolutely no idea what was going on and acted as though she had never done this before. My sister's mother-in-law had more of a sense on how to set everything up than Kitty did! I would never recommend Cake, Candy, and Flowers to anyone for any reason whatsoever. And I highly recommend that the Knights of Columbus Hall in Avon, OH cut ties with her if they want to have a name for themselves considering that the hall is under new ownership. Don't let the online pictures fool you. At the last wedding this place catered for, they used chipped plates, mismatched glasses, mismatched napkins, dirty unpolished silverware, and stained table clothes. When these items were addressed, the owner gave us attitude. It seemed as if she was angry that we wanted clean plates and silverware for the wedding, as if that's an unreasonable request! To top it off, this company authorized their employees to package the remainder of the wedding cake in a used 24 pack of bud light bottles box. Yes, they put the literal cake in a disgusting, filthy, falling apart bud light box to get back at the bride. Then, the owner threatened to call the police on the bride at her own wedding. This is the most unprofessional business I have ever worked with.

So I am the groom of this most recent wedding Saturday September 30th. The comments below are from my wedding day. My bridal party did a amazing job of covering up this places horrible mess. This place is so unprofessional, dirty and unorganized it's not even funny. I could go on and on but as you read below already, I don't think I need to reiterate anymore. Our day was beautiful because of the friends and family we have, not kitty!! I was so impressed by new friends I met that stepped up and helped us on our day, like Jared, and I'm thankful I had the privilege of meeting him. Without them this would have not been the day we deserved. I would never recommend this place to anyone. They are totally out of line and the most selfish, disrespectful people I've ever met. They should change their name to " Crooks, Crappy and Frauds!"

It sad that I write this but I feel as tho my business or sending people here is unappreciated, I've been going here getting cakes/cookies/And cupcakes for yrs now.A young lady asked me to help with her wedding over the weekend and this is where I recommend her to go long story short, I go pick up the order n it's wrong cupcakes were to be all vanilla, open box a few vanilla it was chocolate n red velvet, me a kitty did request to change them wedding was at 2pm it was already after 1pm we kept them. Reception time mind you she (kitty)said well the cake is all vanilla, ok bride n groom cut the cake the cake isn't all vanilla, my point this is a young lady wedding day things can't be replaced I called to explain, she hung up on me, screaming, what do you want me to do, seems to me that this business has become a bit much, seems as tho somebody really need to see the doctor, even tho I had orders messed up in the pass we continued to use this place,I will no longer use it, nor will I send my friends /family, thought she was very unprofessional today. My experience....

My wedding reception was planned through cakes candies and flowers by kitty. I was just married this past Saturday and thank god my mother in law covered up all of the mistakes she could have. Kitty was very friendly and nice and I thought I had nothing to worry about when I first met her. As soon as I paid her a majority of the money things changed. My reception venue was at the knights of Columbus in Avon and I was told from the beginning that we would be allowed to go into the hall after they hosted bingo so my mother in law could decorate the hall. Kitty then gave me the run around about how it was difficult to get a hold of the gentlemen in charge of the venue and that we would not be able to go in. Eventually, I was told that we were able to go in and we were meeting her up there at 930 pm the night before my reception. When we arrived they were giving us an issue about setting up and my maid of honor had to talk to the gentlemen because kitty was just standing there. When we proceeded to start we then helped them clean tables off and put them away so we could put up round tables. (We offered the help so that was not a big deal) After the tables were put up we started to put the table clothes on that were provided by kitty (which was included in our package) and to my surprise they were dirty. I am not talking about even washed dirty. It legitimately looked like they were never washed at all. So I was aggravated and was told that they would be spot cleaned in the morning with vinegar. Ok so I let it go. Then, the least of my concern at that point, the napkins weren't even the color I wanted which was coral. I got every single shade of peach on the planet. I didn't even say anything about it because right at the same time I found out that they didnt even have enough table clothes for all the tables. While kitty then tells my sister that if I hadn't changed my mind so much then all of this would have went smoother. So just as a reminder to all who read this, the only things to my knowledge that I changed were some of the flowers and I changed the amount of people from 150 to 130. So we moved forward with setting up and my mother in law ended up staying until 6 in the morning to finish. Mind you half of the time was spent taking stuff down sweeping and setting up tables, which again was offered by us so no big deal. So on the day of my wedding (which was beautiful no thanks to kitty) we are on our way to the reception when I am told that at 10 to 6 ( my reception starts at 6) they wouldn't let the dj in to set up. Also, my mother in law went in and the tables weren't set and the cake wasn't set out. So we were delayed getting into our own reception. Lights that I payed for through her were not even put up (again the least of my concern but still). The rest of the night was fun and beautiful until it's just about time to leave and someone calls the venue to ask to speak to me and in a nutshell I was told that if we didn't leave the cops would be called. So I am hysterical at this point and mad and was drinking so the nicest things didn't come out of my mouth. I was walking away and the bartender (her employee) called me a nasty name and my husband heard it. He also had a select few words with her as obviously I believe any man would, to defend his wife's honor. We left and I contacted kitty the next day and was told a complaint was filed against us at the police department. I was also told that numerous fights broke out which was a surprise to me because that absolutely did not happen. Mind you kitty was not even there for her own event. I was also told that the only reason I had my Flowers was because I was probably already drinking before my wedding. Appalling!!! There are other things that happened that I can't fit into this message but it's ok. Her own employees were talking about how unorganized she was. I just don't want anyone else to have to deal with that on their special day. Our day was beautiful and fun but there were definitely bumps along the way that should never have happened.
