Farmer to Table . California Grill and Bar serves the finest, locally-grown produce, and sources locally whenever possible. Its owner is also the owner of Lakeside Organic Gardens and grows the organic vegetables and salads right here in the fields of the Pajaro Valley. It’s likely the produce on your plate was picked fresh from one of his organic fields just hours before it was prepared for you. Daily specials and desserts reflect the cycle of the seasons so you can experience flavors at their peak.

I cannot believe that I have never heard of this restaurant. It is honestly the best food I’ve had in Santa Cruz county. Definitely was not expecting such an amazing meal, especially when the restaurant is located in some sort of business building. The appetizers are great and very reasonably priced. The salads are mostly under $20 and are huge. One of my favorite things about the restaurant is the menu. I have not been to a restaurant where I liked almost every single item on the menu. Definitely definitely definitely definitely recommend
We went here for lunch and got seated promptly. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. We ordered the shrimp cobb salad along with Ahi tun salad and they were both delicious with generous portions. I also love the bread they brought to the table, it went well with the salad. Parking: Many places to park.
Second vist and first time at the bar on a busy Friday night. Such a great group of people working there, staff was polite and responsive, and they knew how to work, which is increasingly rare these days. The two bartenders were especially responsive taking care of regulars, those have drinks while waiting for a table and cranking out beverages for the whole restaurant, just doing the needful at every turn and not forgetting to check in on customers without being asked. Soooo refreshing to get service like this again. Thank you.
Service is great. Everyone is friendly and attentive. Breakfast was ok. Food needed a little more flavor. Still a good choice to have food.
Really delicious Salad with grilled chicken. All ingredients have been really fresh and even the bread was warm. Service was really good as well.
I only got the reuben with sweet potato fries which came with a side salad made from locally sourced vegetables and the eggs and bacon appetizer deviled eggs with some bacon on top, but it was very good and the waitress was super friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. A great experience. I can't wait to go back and try some of the other menu items!
Came for lunch and the food was awesome. Tasted so fresh and filled us up. I got the chicken sandwich which has the perfect Asian slaw on it for the right amount of acid and sweet. Can't go wrong with pretty much anything on the menu. It's a great place for many dietary restrictions as well.
Service of the bar was exemplary. Beware they are not open between 2:30 and 5:00 for the dining room but you can get appetizers at the bar. Everything we ordered was delicious. Amazing flavors and value for money I highly recommend this restaurant. And especially enjoyed the temporary vegetables the garlic bread Pork medallions and both the pajaro and fruit pies.
I went into the bar section and had lunch today. The bartender, Hillary, did such a great job, it made my day a better one. I got the half sandwich and salad combo which was really good. One thing I don't like is that they serve the small salad on a too little plate.... you cannot avoid spilling some off the sides when you try to eat it. Other than that, thank you!
I had Mary's Organic Lemon Garlic Chicken. You get a healthy portion of a half chicken with the skin on. It was prepared perfectly and delicious. The facilities are simple and sparsely decorated but clean. Service was terrific.Food: 5/5
