Nevada County Emergency response, GVchp took part. H49 near alta sierra this morning during traffic, 2 lane section four emergency vehicles w lights on passing in middle of the road at differerent times with little warning causing serious safety issues themselves with the hundreds of cars forced under rule to pull off the quite dangerous road in chaotic mess. Smart? Correct, best way to operate on that section of road in any emergency?

I can't believe the CHP operates only from 9-5pm! My car was hit by someone who had left the scene of the accident. I wanted to report it but felt it was NOT an emergency to dial 911. Car still operated, no one was in the car when it happened. Guess I will have to wait until they open again...Never would have guessed closure at five from CHP!

I live on boulder st in Nevada city and take care of my brother who disabled . The cars on boulder are going 45,50 + all day long and nobody seems to care. The speed limit is 20 to 25 M.P.H we can not walk, ride a bike, or cross the road at any time safety. I have sent in community traffic complaints, I have called and called and called the grass valley office and all ever here is WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO? As a former officer for the state of cal. and a uncle that served 35 years with the C.H.P. I"m very disappointed. Boulder St.in Nevada City is not a safe place to live any longer. I hope and pray no one has to get killed first be for anything gets done!
