Life savers!!! Had a very important package that I had been waiting on, and turns out the sender messed up on my address and it was being returned. The frustrating part was I had already waited close to two weeks for this thing and now it was looking like a month! Luckily my folks here at Royal oaks PO intercepted my package and help it for me so that way I could just pick it up. They even called me to assure that my package was safe. Y’all are the best , and once again thank you.
Lobby hours are posted as 24 hours a day, including Sundays. But the building is always locked on the weekends and in the evenings. Then when you can get there to pick up the PO Box mail during counter hours, it can take up to an hour to get someone to get stuff from the overflow shelf. Bad... bad... bad... It used to just be unfriendly counter staff at this location. Now the counter staff seem nice, but the lack of attention to posted hours makes it a rough post office to deal with. One star for the inconvenience of not being able to access mail when it's convenient to me, as opposed to USPS.
Called to verify fingerprint services and was told to come in, upon arrival the clerk tells me that the fingerprinting machine is broken then the clerk next to her says that there is nobody here to do fingerprints, I then ask the clerk well which one is it? Is the machine broken or is there no one here to do fingerprints she then tells me to come back tomorrow. Complete waste of time and useless workers at this USPS location!
Long lines, slow moving lines today. The clerk that helped me seemed like she would rather be anywhere else in the world. But I got what I came in for, so that's what matters to me. I've had good experiences there as well.
You cant just call and get a hold of someone. They have endless loops of unhelpful automated robots not allowing you to speak to a person from the store or any customer service for that matter. I just needed help locating a package that I dropped in the wrong drop box.
If I make it into this post office I try to use the self service machine. It is available right in the lobby. You don't have to go where the clerks are. The customer service is not the best but I have had much worse experiences. Yet to get a passport from here so that may or may not change my opinion. A heads up... self service machine does not take cash only card.
Tried making this first class and the kid at the counter told me that this card size envelope would have to go as a package. Then proceeded to ask me if I could hand deliver it since I had an issue paying more for postage than I paid for the greeting card. I don’t think he tried hard enough and I took his sample mail slot and pushed it right through. He claims it’s supposed to glide through. Will try another post office tomorrow.
My experience was from 1:30pm-4:30pm on a Friday. This place is a joke. Insufficient parking in lot. Only 30 minute parking on the street. I enjoyed a three hour wait. 30 minutes of which I spent in the USPS line which was packed and was only be attended to by one USPS employee. Just FYI, the Passport office is on the north side of the building past the USPS counter from the parking lot. There are signs on the Northern side of the building directing you but I didn't notice any walking in from the parking lot. There is no public bathroom. Eventually I left and went down the street to REI to use their bathroom. At least they use a ticket system so I didn't loose my place in line. They're horribly understaffed. All the employees have signs on their desks asking you not to talk to them while they're with customers and directing people to the travel.state.gov website. There's no one to answer questions so individuals do come up to talk to them and are told to wait. Eventually the employee who had been the only one servicing the USPS counter came and helped with Passports.
The worst USPS office I ever seen in my whole life.Every time there is only one employee on the counter and big line of customers. It’s better to close it if you can’t handle it. Very poor customer service.
These people lost my request to hold mail twice. And causes me 3 unnecessary trips to the post office. Terrible customer service. Very unorganized. This is ridiculous.
