Stop and frisk for no reason. Did not identify themselves as police, they could have been thugs in a black jumpsuit. And no did not have contraband or anyone call. Supervisor was extra rude when asked for an explanation then hung up, and told me the person MUST have had police contact before if they did not see that as a kind gesture of going through people's belongings. As if a visual is confirmation is acurate for that. Aggressive and threating while attempting to unlawfully detaine a person.

All of my experiences with the Monrovia Police Department have been extremely positive. They are incredibly friendly, responsive, helpful and exhibit the utmost professionalism. They endeavor to solve problems in the most expeditious way. Given the repeated, satisfactory interactions I have had with the MPD, and recognizing how increasingly difficult policing work has become in this day and age, I am frankly surprised at the derogatory commentary found on this website. I love living in Monrovia, and part of this has to do with the great job that our local police, fire and other public workers supply to the community. Kudos to them and the fine work they do!

Where to start! Zer0 integrity, lack of morals, officers unable to pass the fitness test, Corruption, did I mention a total lack of integrity. The best thing the town could do is clean house on this festering drain on the city's resources

Didn't see any improvement for the neighborhood safety. Drug lords and gangsters are everywhere. However they are really high on ticketing hard working middle class, like answering a medical phone call while driving.
