Story

We bought the Camas Hotel August, 2016. Prior owner shop purchased in 2008. They spent the first few years remodeling the charming 100+ year old building. Now we enjoy greeting our guests and making their stay as pleasant as possible. The vision for the hotel was based on the family-run small hotels you may find on your travels to Europe. We love to travel, and also know how challenging it can be, so we make every effort to make our hotel a welcome respite for intrepid travelers.

Recently brought a family of 6 to stay 2 nights. I noted the small room sizes on the website, and called to make our reservation by phone (and to confirm whether there were rooms available to accommodate our family of 6). Though I was assured of the availability and even given the room numbers during the phone call. Unfortunately, the arrangements from that phone call didn't get relayed to the reservation system, because we arrived and found that the room with the sofa bed was double-booked. In the course of our 2-night stay, we were greeted by at least 5 different desk clerks -- all very friendly -- but none of them apologized or offered us an extra room to accommodate our family. We were provided with a floor pad and a cot for our children. And with some friendly insistence on our part, the staff appropriately waived the standard $10 additional charge for the cot. We were disappointed that the hotel staff did not apologize or take responsibility for the error -- and while the hiccup in booking will prevent us from returning with our family of 6, it was otherwise a pleasant historical setting and a reasonable rate for friendly, modest, and refreshing accommodations.

Lovely rooms. Love the extra touches like the Keurig machine in each room, and quiche and fruit at the continental breakfast. Super close to lots of little great restaurants, and near a Safeway if you realise you forgot something. Perfect for my friend's wedding.

The Camas Hotel is a beautiful and exceedingly friendly, comfortable place to stay. I highly recommend the experience. Be sure to check out all of downtown Camas... Excellent restaurants all within walking distance! Loved the entire experience.

Quaint older hotel. We stayed in room 3 which is a very nice king room with a large private bath. The room was clean and well appointed. The staff was friendly and the free breakfast was good.
