I had the honor of attending the soft opening of Hey Jack last night.
The restaurant small and cozy. The tables are hand crafted by the owners and are stunning to look at.
Michelin Starred Chef Peter, created the menu to feature locally sourced Vegetables, Lamb and Salmon. 
The menu will change as the seasonal vegetables become ripe and ready for the restaurant. 
The grilled cucumber salad was beyond my expectations. It was loaded with layers of flavors. The same holds true with the lamb that was perfectly prepared and served with a variety of carefully crafted sauces to compliment the dish. 
The desert I ordered was an Almond cake that was accompanied by rhubarb and hand whipped cream that was light and airy. The combination was delicious.

A trip to the restroom was a treat as it is beautifully appointed. For hand drying after washing. I was surprised to find cloth hand towels. This was yet another unexpected experience.

Don and Peter have come up with a fantastic combination of simplicity and elegance.

Make sure to put this fine restaurant you culinary bucket list.
You won't be disappointed.

Wonderful deep flavor & creative style. Happy to have them in Camas. Will bring family and friends and refer folks to restaurant with out hesitation. The atmosphere, staff and owners were top notch. All felt welcomed as well. Look forward to experiencing their Sunday Brunch. Go in as soon as you can and enjoy for yourself any evening of the week!

True fine dining! Had the cucumber salad with steelhead roe, salmon, veal (with incredible sweetbreads!) and ganache for dessert. Everything was presented beautifully.  Excellent service, warm atmosphere.  Exciting, deliciously prepared local ingredients. Wine list was excellent without being intimidating. One of the best meals I’ve had.

Hey Jack is located on Camas's charming tree-lined main downtown street.

Newly opened, it has a welcoming feel, and appealing vibe.

HOWEVER, despite  very good service and attractive surroundings, you can't escape the fact that the entrees are like very pricey tiny tasting plates!

2 of us had the lamb, which was overly salted.  Another in our party had the veal.

Luckily, we ordered the house-made and delicious foccacchia or they'd have sent us home hungry.

The desserts were scrumptuous, and actually filled up more of the plate than the entrees!

Sad to say, I doubt we'll return to Hey Jack.

Rare gem in Camas. A Michelan award winning chef with a simple, yet amazing menu. I highly recommend this restaurant for a delicious, yet casual culinary experience.
