The 2 women that I dealt with behind the counter were both extremely rude and miserable. I explained my situation and asked them very simple questions and their responses came back with such negative tone and attitude for absolutely no reason at all. Lastly, when I asked to renew my permit, the 2nd woman I dealt with explained as she flashed a quick condescending smile at me, “not with this ticket you can’t”. She seemed very pleased with herself. When I arrived back at the car, I went online to renew this permit of mine, just as I always have done in the past and it went through like a breeze. So much for my tax dollars paying for them to just sit there all day to warm up those seats and not to their jobs right. These faces give Cambridge City a bad rep as the city itself is warm, inviting, and full of colors/culture. The attitude, disrespect, inconsistencies that I have both, witnessed and received, are something that I strongly advise management to look into. I will not pull out the race card, but it’s hard not to when I’ve seen someone else being pardoned for the same issue last year while there. In his case, he didn’t even have a resident permit yet and just arrived there a few days prior!!! I’ve been a resident for years and my RENTAL got a ticket for staying beyond 24 hours in one spot, yet I was not immediately taken care of by one of these women as they’ve done for him. Instead, I was told that “it is not my decision to make. Nothing you show me will have any effect to this appeal”, was what I was told. I guess not unless you’re an attractive older white gentleman... By the way, make sure you have a couple of quarters to pay for the meters around there. There is no credit card machine for the parking system. However, Resident permit parking can be found on the side streets. Good luck.

Horrible service, I wanted to get resident sticker, so I asked the women behind the glass; how are you? and the answer was nothing, I felt discriminated and unwelcome when I walked there, The worse thing that when i called the manager to complain to her, she was careless, rude, they didn't explain to me the requirement for resident sticker, they don't have passion! they are unhappy, I felt depressed Only one women there her name Marry was nice

As a resident of East Cambridge , I was very impressed with the definate quality of care for our children as the guard crossing at the corner of Cambridge and Sixth streets , Donna Jarvis, had observed a motorist turning right onto Cambridge street without stopping for a school bus with its stop sign out and children getting off the bus. Donna attempted to go after the woman driving but could not leave her post. this light colored van as it continued on its path down Cambridge street is an unfortunate example of what Donna and many others must endure every day and our children our the ones that could be hurt playing behind the wheel like this. Donna's concern and genuine care for the children was most important to Ms. Vargas as is everyday for her. In general we are all seeking heros. . In our teams, on our police force and fire departments and many of our loved ones. There certainly is another one for the books that we are truly honored to have here in East Cambridge , who protects, cares, laughs and serves. Thank you Donna Jarvis for all your years of service

Had an accident and needed a parking permit for the rental car. Service was very efficient and courteous.

They will NEVER EVER grant a parking appeal. No matter how legitimate your appeal is. That's just how they roll...
