Our daughter has attended Canterbury since she was 3 months old. She is now in the preschool program and the entire experience has been phenomenal. Student turnover is very low. Almost all of her preschool classmates were also in her infant room. The education is superb, especially the communication and comprehension skills. The Canterbury staff really does care and invest their time in the children. I toured and researched many programs and am positive I made the best decision for us. Even though we've moved; I drive the extra distance for the Canterbury program, staff and families. I can't imagine sending her anywhere else.

We love this school. The teachers are great. Everyone is very friendly, supportive and welcoming. Our 3 year old has attended Canterbury since he was one month old. He LOVES going to "school," all his teachers and most of all interacting with all the other kids. He is learning so much and FitKids has been an amazing addition to his education.

We love Canterbury Prep! The building isn’t brand new, but they get it right where it really counts: they have great people. The staff and teachers are always so welcoming and friendly, and our curious toddler loves all the encouragement and attention he receives. He’s learned all his colors, shapes, ABCs, how to count past 10, and so much more, and he’s not even 2 yet. He’s even learning fun skills like Spanish and dancing! We also love the animals, outdoor play, and fun activities that the kids are exposed to. The administrators are so organized, and they’re wonderful about sending out regular communication, which we really appreciate as parents. As a nice touch, many of the staff and teachers offer convenient extras after school hours, like haircuts for the kids, parents’ night out, and weekend babysitting. We had the chance to switch to a brand new school that’s closer to us, but we stuck with Canterbury because we love the people so much and know that our child is in loving, caring hands.

I never felt comfortable leaving my lo with this school. One teacher in particular in the infant room didn't seem to care about the babies at all. I came in one day and found her dazing out while my son was in a swing next to her screaming at the top of his lungs. I came in and took him out of the swing and he had a wet diaper. He was totally fine after I changed him. When I asked her if she would please change him whenever he got fussy like that she said they have a policy that they only change every two hours when their automated system alarmed them that it was time. Then she begrudgingly agreed to change him every hour. Why not just change him when he is fussy?? When he turned 6 months old I asked them not to have him in swings and jumpers. I wanted him to get plenty of floor time to develop and prepare to crawl. A few days later I came in to pick up my son and one of the girls said he loved the jumper. He was in it all day watching cartoons on their laptop!!! First off I told them not to use the jumper and 2nd of course i don't want my 6 month old to watch TV all day!!! What were they thinking?! When I told the director I was unhappy and was removing my son from their school she just said okay and never once asked me why I was unhappy. This is the most disturbing thing to me of all! How can you not ask a parent why they are leaving? Obviously they don't care to get better. I was originally drawn to the program because it was close by, a bit cheaper than the other centers and had some cool features like they'd make and wash your bottles every day. Just leave formula or frozen breast-milk with them. But after going there I realized that them having to make and clean bottles took time away from the babies. They also were in charge of cleaning their own rooms. They don't have any janitorial services... it's all up to the girls. That's a lot to do along with taking care of the babies. Also why I think the classrooms are a bit on the dirty side.

Coming from an at-home daycare with just one other child, I was nervous about sending my son to a daycare/school. The first few weeks were tough but we expected that with a big transition. During that time, his teachers were amazing at helping comfort him at morning drop-off. He has been there 5 months now and has grown leaps and bounds. He has learned so much from the other kids in his class and I cannot say enough good things about his teachers, Allee and Emilie. The staff is so sweet and the director has made an effort to know each parent and their child. I have been very pleased with the communication of the staff, the cleanliness of his room and the school in general, and above all, how my son has grown and treated.
