I went to Dr Jibben on a friend's recommendation. I found the office very courteous and Dr. Jibben was on time, her exam was thorough and she fixed a problem I had been seeing another Dr for on my first visit. I was impressed, to say the least. she will be my eye Doc from now on.....

I was on a business trip while in Phoenix area and found this place since it was near the resort where i was staying. So i scheduled an eye exam because i have been having headaches eye strains and dry eyes so figured it had to do with my glasses i have been wearing for the past 3-4 years. I have checkups every year at OTHER places and they always say its the same -2.50 since that is also what i tell them before the exam. Upon my arrival at Capella, the staff were extremely nice and helped me with a few nice frames that they had on display. On this visit to Dr. Jibben, she gave me the BEST and most comprehensive exam that i have ever received (Full dilated exam). She is extremely knowledgable and explained the reasons for my symptoms. After my checkup, it turns out that the OTHER DOCTORS that i got exams from OVER PRESCRIBED me by a WHOLE diopter, meaning i wasnt a -2.50 but truly only -1.50, so Dr. Jibben explained that i could not simply just back to a -1.50 since my eyes are so accustomed to -2.50 over the years. In the end i walked away with a new pair of fashionable eyeglasses and tons of premium contacts to help my dry eye, and to gradually work my way back down to my true -1.50 prescription. Dr. Jibben`s practice has great value, great selection of nice frames & very professional staff. I am extremely satisfied that i was seen by Dr. Jibben and i would travel from Chicago every year just to get a check up from her and give me a reason to take a short weekend vacation! Dr. Jibben is the BEST!

I had the WORST experience with this office. I called in and spoke to a receptionist. I made an appointment the same day for 4:30pm and provided her with my insurance information and phone number. She said that she would call me back if she had any issues. I never heard back from her and called the office at 3:40 to confirm and hey told me that they were unable to confirm my insurance. I gave this new person my information again and she called me back to tell me that they could not locate me in the system. I complained and asked to speak to the doctor and she told me the doctor does not handle these things???? what? ok - so she finally said we will give you the exam and if your insurance does not cover then you will have to pay out of pocket. So my insurance retro enrolled me and it will take a week to get me in the system by May 11. So I called the office today May 5 to let them know and asked them to fax over my contact prescription to Lens Crafter. She told me that she will not release my prescription until she gets paid. I was irate at the poor patient and customer care. The office is unprofessional and unintelligent staff. They have zero common sense. They do not write down patient information but just put enter the information into the system and if the system crashes they have no way to contact the patient. I have been in healthcare for over 25 years and the excuses that I hear are so ridiculous and non intelligent. The office manager even did not want to call my other office to get the fax number and she expected me to provide her with that too! They make mistakes and just say "sorry" ooops but they want to do as little as possible for patients/customers. Bottom line this office manager told me that this is a business and we need to get paid first. This is NOT the office for me. Any healthcare professional who puts MONEY first instead of quality of care, customer service and well being of the customer and terrible. This office manager is lazy, unprofessional, and tried to deflect blame to me Again, I would NEVER go back to this place again nor would I EVER recommend this place to anyone. The staff is ignorant, lazy, and non intelligent without common sense.
