I have used John for all of my flooring needs (home, rentals, work) for over 25 years now and I have been absolutely and totally Happy with the humble, grateful and constant quality service he and his company have provided for me over the years. He does beautiful work and I will be forever loyal to Capital Carpet. It is a family oriented, very accommodating, business.

December 9, 2013 John Saracyan Capitol Carpet Co 14250 Ventura Blvd Sherman Oaks, CA 91423 Mr. Saracyan On September of this year we entered into a contract for the installation of new hardwood floors at my house in Beverly Hills. The floors to be installed were master bedroom and closets, three additional bedrooms and closets, all on the second floor. At the time we negotiated the contract you assured us that it was not necessary to replace the existing hallway wood floor upstairs, and that you would blend it into the new floor. In addition, you promised us to sand and refinish the living and family room floors, even though they had moisture damage. In lieu of your advice and promises we stayed with the wood we purchased which otherwise we would have changed. You immediately charged the full contract amount (labor & material) $ 15,660.00,even though the contract terms allows for 50% deposit and balance upon completion and we did not authorize that which is a breech of contract. In December you changed your story and claimed that you need to install plywood under the new floors even though there is no room for plywood (we have received two other contractors opinion).According to their evaluation, there are a lack of space. Therefore, by installing plywood ,you would not be able to level the floor. As a result, it would cause a safety hazard at the hallway upstairs, where wood meet a stone stairway. In addition, you now had to replace the existing second floor wood with new. You then were trying to charge my card an additional $9800. You have told our family friend, who highly recommended you to us, that we were the ones to request all the above and that we asked you to charge the full amount to our credit card, which is a lie. Given all the above, we lost trust in working we you. We would like you to pick up all the wood you had delivered to the house and return all monies paid to you, and we will void the contract. In the absence of that, we will place a complaint to the California License Board and take legal action against you and your company. Please respond within 5 days from the date of this letter. Unfortunately,the owner of the Capitol Carpet Co rejected to return our monies. Therefore, we have to submit all paper work to a legal office. We gave the company one star just in order to be able write a review.
