I recently hired Capitol Heights Iron Works to fabricate a new railing for my front porch and a portion of the walkway which leads to it. I was not sure what I wanted it to look like, but I wanted my new railing to be unique and beautiful. Chuck Gavai (the owner) had many excellent, creative suggestions and he gave this project life. On installation day, I was not disappointed. Even sitting in the truck, the railing looked fantastic with its ornate scrollwork and fresh coat of gloss black paint. I am an engineer and I know what it takes to build things properly, so naturally I had concerns about how the railing would be secured. In short, Mr. Gavai knows what he is doing and my railing is not going anywhere. I am very pleased with Capitol Heights and their quality of workmanship and professionalism. If you live in the DC area and need some iron work done, I highly recommend you give them a call.
