Story

Gianpiero Cangelosi came to the United States in the 80’s from Europe. Born in Palermo Sicily, Gianpiero traveled and lived throughout Europe honing his skills as a restaurateur.

Gianpiero and Karen Cangelosi founded Capriccio Ristorante in 1987. We started with one dining room but due to its instant success, the second dining room was added a year later. As the years grew, so did the restaurant. In 1995, we added our beautiful lounge built around its focal point, a 6’5” chandelier hoisted in the center of the room. We created an atmosphere for drinks and dancing before and after dinner. Most recently we have added a private dining room. Capriccio’s has been made famous not only for it’s incredible Italian cuisine, but also for it’s live entertainment nightly. Nowhere in South Florida can you find the quality of the food and the music given out in large quantities. The ambiance swells with charisma here at Capriccio’s. We also have since opened a second restaurant in the family community of Weston. Located in the Weston Town Center, our other restaurant Tarantella Ristorante e Pizzeria charms the west Broward crowds. At Tarantella we serve a full Italian menu as well as some of the best brick oven pizzas in the United States. Whether you come to Capricccio’s for its fine dining and décor, or Tarantella with its fun and charming atmosphere, we promise you a good time and great food.
