The food was good. The service was good. However they have issues with seating. They're a bit overcrowded. I took a video of the 2 tables they put together to make an illusion of a larger table. One table was lower than the other with a damaged leg which made it tilt constantly. That made our cocktails spill multiple times with no compensation. Definitely not what I had in mind for my birthday dinner.
Nice little spot in Queens. the food was good I wish they had more variety, drinks are delicious! the rooftop has a nice ambiance. I will definitely come back in the summertime because even with the heating lamps and covered roof it was a little cold to sit out there in March.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: Yes
Cute spot - staff is friendly and accommodating. I came for brunch and had the cornmeal porridge bomb and ackee entree. My dessert was a slice of red velvet cake which was So good! Oh how could I forget - rum punch was on point. Def will come back and try more menu items!
This was my first visit to Caribbean Soul. I came across this restaurant after a long day of activities and just wanted some rasta pasta. It is a big restaurant with two floors. I sat upstairs and saw that there was an outdoor seating section with heat. There is also a bar upstairs. The drinks were delicious! I had a rum punch that bright me right back to the islands. I thought the food itself was okay. I didn't enjoy the pasta because the sauce was heavy cream, no veggies and a bit salty. My friend switched plates with me and I didn't enjoy the salmon because it lacked seasoning and salt. The honey glaze was the only save for the salmon. The mashed potatoes was really good. My friend enjoyed her Jamaican- Jamaican plate which had curry goat and oxtail. I found the waitresses/bartenders to be speaking very loud while behind the bar which made it difficult to hold a conversation on our table, especially when it seemed like a lot of drama and a fight was ready to start with them. Price-- 3 people, 2 appetizers, 4 cocktails, 3 dinner plates= $188 Features: Waiters and waitress had their masks on. Rooftop seating.
After working in Queens on a Saturday evening, my friends Tee and Stan met me here for dinner. When we pulled up, I was a lil leary because the restaurant seemed more like a TAKE OUT restaurant; however, as the hostess guided us to the establishment’s upper level, that is where the magic did unfold. The ambiance was cozy. The music was festive. The decor was fitting but most importantly, the drinks were EVERYTHING! Lol. My rum punch was so on point that I only needed one and it hit THE spot! I ordered the snapper. I had it fried. It was smaller in size than what I normally order but it was filling. My friends both ordered the curry goat and oxtail meal and they lived it as well. The food was savory and authentic to the Caribbean. I will definitely be back!
I will have to say the food here was superb!! The service was beyond beautiful. We sat upstairs for brunch celebrating my birthday. Ashley, was our waitress and she was amazing. I will definitely be going back here especially for date night the music was great the aviance everything was wonderful. You wouldn't regret it!Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: Yes
Service was TERRIBLE she kept forgetting about us. We were waiting for change but she claimed that there wasn’t extra change but someone was short. If someone was short she would have asked for extra money so she got an extra $30 from us while the gratuity is included. The food was good rice needed a tad more flavor and the jerk fries aren’t like the actual jerk Fries they have a small dip on the side not seasoned. Lamp chops are small we saw someone else with larger ones so at least look for lamp chops close to the same size for all. We want to support our businesses like this but when then they do stuff like that it makes us regret it.
I threw a private event from my daughter's sweet 16 and the food was amazing the room is super cute for about 30 people. You could play your own music which I loved. Definitely gonna be a go to if I have another event or just to get some food.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: YesDelivery: Yes
I went in with a group of people … beautiful space , beautiful faces & service was good but the food though… I ordered Dusse lemon pepper wings which came burnt, flavorless and dry. I was very excited for them but for the price the least they’ve could’ve done was season it & make sure it wasn’t burnt dry. The drinks & other food items were ok, nothing special but I would suggest since the menu at night or for groups are so small that you make sure the foods flavor is there. Would love to visit again maybe during the day. I hate wasting food so I just took it home.
I’m here right now for my birthday and it’s a great vibe! The food is amazing.. had the Dusse lemon pepper wings and my friend had the pine jerk wings and they were both amazing seasoned well! The hookah is worth it and the rum punch strong af. Music is fire..definitely recommend!
