As a Minnesotan that loves my caribou, I️ came here two weeks ago, ordered a turtle mocha and loved it which is the only reason they are getting two stars instead of one. Today I️ took a friend here and they completely forgot about our orders even though we were standing at the counter waiting. I️ ordered a bagel and the same turtle mocha as last time. The “coffee” they gave me was already cold somehow and an extremely weak attempt at a turtle mocha even though they supposedly just made it. It’s as if they gave me a coffee one of the workers made for themselves and had sitting behind the counter. I️ actually poured it out on the ground and will never be back.

Einstein bagels taste amazing! Remind me of the late "Big Apple Bagels".... Service has deteriorated exponentially since remodel/merger with Caribou. I have visited here frequently since 2008. Mostly on Wednesdays for the bakers dozen deal for my co-workers. Fast, friendly hospitality when ordering a box o' bagels-but any single bagel order or sandwich request gets suspended and seen piled up on the display screen in back going from a yellow border to red-meaning an order taking over 5 minute to complete. To me, and many other morning-goers, that is excessive when four employees are seen behind the counter working/gabbing. Multiple online surveys were completed by myself over the past few months with no improvement. Even addressed concerns with an Assistant Manager in person. Not too receptive, leaving me to at least write a review to someome who may listen. Today was my last visit.

Best Einstein I’ve ever been to. Very, very friendly and went above and beyond to make our visit great. Cozy space with fire.

Love the coffee, it is my choice at home so I prefer it over most others. The baked goods are really good, I enjoy the atmosphere a little more than other coffee locations on Oakland, it is more roomy and quiet. Employees are not as good as others, friendly enough and love what they offer. Haven't had a bad experience yet even though I sometimes expect to have one with the iffy employee that looks confused with my order but knock on wood I haven't yet. Good spot.

Wonderful treat to find this open on a Sunday after 4 pm! Got my iced coffee my way and a power bar for tomorrow. Sadly I was not aware it was open earlier so missed my favorite bagels. Nice staff, nice atmosphere.
