Lots of parking, so I seldom even try to park at the downtown Carlsbad station, even though it's closer.  A nice little coffee shop is open weekday mornings.  AFAIK, all local trains stop here.

Please bring back shade. 
Please add signs so folks know which track to stand on. 
At least there is lots of parking and a clean bathroom! 
Extra star given for Pointsettia Coffee, which is the best thing about this station in the AM :)

Good parking and clean restrooms. They need shade structures by the tracks. They also need better signage indicating what track is northbound and southbound. The ticket machines have trouble reading credit cards at times and the screens are hard to read. Allow extra time if you haven't taken the train before. Can be confusing the first time. Ask others for help if you are unsure what side of the tracks to be on. Trains only stop for 30 to 45 seconds.

The station could use shelters on both north and southbound sides from the elements. Only one of the machines on the platform that you tap your compass card works.

Both tracks run parallel, North and South.  The tracks on the West side are for North bound trains.  Tracks on the East side are for South bound trains.
