Awesome spot. Great service. I have to admit I was slightly worried because it's a chain restaurant in Atlantic City and AC offers a lot of great Italian outside of the casinos, but they delivered well beyond my expectations. Great server Greg was super helpful, and everyone who came to our table was super polite. Kudos to the lady running the front because there was a pack of the most entitled white women I've ever seen in my life screaming bloody murder because they had to wait 5 minutes for their table to be prepared. Unfortunately we ended up being sat next to them, too, but nothing could get in the way of enjoying such great food

I've been here multiple times now and they are yet to disappoint me. Being an Italian, I live Italian food. There's nothing that a big bowl of pasta can't make better. Normally, if you don't want to wait a long time you need to make reservations. Once you get seated, though, services is very quick. Each time I've been here I got linguine with meatballs. For anyone who's wondering, the meatballs are made with a beef veal mixture. I also got the special salad which has roasted vegetables instead of raw. I like how they bring you an assortment of bread right when you sit down. The only part I wish they would change is the portion sizes. I just wish you could order half of a portion instead of the whole thing. Normally, the party and I will eat the whole portion anyway but if the portions were smaller you could get a larger assortment of food. I would highly recommend eating here as the food is very good.

Very good food. Wait time is very long but this place is always packed. Portions are huge! I would have considered giving this place five stars but the hostess was extremely rude, my wife and I almost walked out after dealing with her horrible attitude. My advice is to change employees not your recipes. Thanks for the great food though.

Very slow service, wrong order. Was there for over 45 minutes and finally the food came, it was wrong. Sorry from the server didn't cut it when the order came back and it was a thrown together attempt. It was not even worth the wait. Dried out and no taste. BTW, this was the Special. Not so special and priced at 36 dollars. What they should have done was write off the check or offered drinks. Anything! Carmine is bogus and overpriced Italian.

I've been to Carmine's NY locations many times, I've even catered our office lunches from them and never, in a million years, would I have thought that I would be treated so ignorantly at their Atlantic City location. Our waiter & the location manager, Robin, were crude and lacked professionalism. We went to the location to celebrate a few birthdays and I’m saddened that their staff took away from our celebration. We left trying to understand what exactly happened. We ordered their most expensive menu item and because we didn’t complain the second time that the mussels had so much sand in them (my kids could’ve made a sand castle with the amount of dirt in the clam) that some how it was our fault. According to the waiter, “we should’ve said something when he asked how was it.” The manager tells us that we at the entire appetizer, which is false, because after dividing it up btwn 5 people, of course the serving dish was empty but did she check the individual dishes? I had to rinse my mouth out with water. My cousin had to spit out the sand into her napkin. The waiter even had some buddies sitting next to us who began to scream at each other, saying stuff like “there are poor people in the world”…”don’t waste food” ..it turns out that they were taunting us as well. I am so appalled that it has taken me 3 days to form the words to describe how disrespected we all felt. I do hope that their staff ( AND FOOD) at other locations are held to the same standard as the NY locations. P.S. I did reach out to Carmine's corporate and within minutes, the Atlantic City GM called me. I appreciate Guilietta listening to our grievances but I hope that she addresses the waiter and the night manager accordingly.
