This store is located inside a large strip mall at the Yacht Club Marina, and WOW, is it ever packed full of every type of fancy, upscale, rich person type of food and grocery item you could want. All types of organic, healthy, expensive foods that you could want. This sort of reminded me of Trader Joe's but on steroids and 10 times more fancy and better. The isles were very narrow and the shopping carts were almost kid sized, ha. The deli had great food, as we purchased several items to eat, and all were very fresh and perfectly cooked, it was about a $60 lunch for 2. I will go back here again, and would love to try many of their other items including their grocery items. Carmine's also has an Italian restaurant inside the same strip mall, but unfortunately it was closed (opens at 4pm) when we were there. Even the parking lot was full of new Mercedes, Jaguars, Cadillac types of vehicles, and has valet parking, so you don't have to walk far, ha. Very upscale grocery and deli. YUM! I will be back!

Three of us enjoyed lunch outdoors, overlooking the marina. Excellent food - best risotto I have ever had. Another diner loved the omelette and artichoke salad. A third liked her wrap and beer. House wines were good. The bread and pesto dipping sauce was wonderful. The service was attentive and quick. We bought good to go for another meal - OMG. Loved the side dishes. We will be back to explore happy hour and live music.

I don’t know what’s going on at this place, but the management has become incredibly rude and hostile. My family and I went here for lunch recently. I ordered an eggplant sandwich and they ordered other dishes. As we waited, other patrons ordered, received, and completed their meals. Thirty minutes later, a manager came out and, for the first time, said the kitchen was out of eggplant. She did not apologize, but instead told us our other orders were ready and that they’d prepare something else for me quickly. Confusingly, she also told us our waiter didn’t want to tell us they were out of eggplant. Pressed for time and now all but obligated to find something else on the menu, I hurriedly ordered another sandwich, which, as it turns out, was pretty terrible. The waiter ignored us for the rest the meal, charged us full price for the crummy replacement sandwich, didn’t offer to comp anything, and didn’t apologize for the mixup. When we asked to speak to a manager, he came over and insulted me. Smirking gleefully and high on an obvious power trip, he accused me of trying to get free food. He told me I should pay full price for the sandwich because I “ate it.” The whole exchange was mind-numbingly stupid and could have been resolved with a modicum of polite communication, perhaps even an apology, but that would have required the manager to have basic social skills. Instead, management insulted and mocked repeat customers. I’ve worked in service. I don’t disrespect waitstaff and I understand that sometimes unforeseeable things happen. Still, I always tip 20%. In every similar situation I’ve been in, there’s been at the very least an apology and, almost as a matter of course, something comped. Instead, these guys treated their customers like vagrants and accused them of far-flung conspiracies to scam them out of a crappy $10 sandwich.

I was recently at Carmine’s with my family for what I thought would be a lovely lunch. So the waiter came over and I asked any specialties or anything we need to know. He proceeded with the brunch and lunceon special menu along with the regular menu. No Mention about being out of anything. So we ordered and other patrons came in seated next to us ordered and food was served and meals completed. Finally a manager comes over to inform us that the eggplant panini my son ordered they didn’t have a eggplant but she said the waiter didn’t want to come tell us. Then she says our food was ready so if my son could hurry and give her a order they could bring our food out. Really.. So apparently they have no communication in the kitchen. What happened to having a chalk board saying 86 prime rib hello how dysfunctional. I have been a waitress and the first thing I would do is go to the table and apologize then to the manager to make sure we can still keep the bad situation from getting worse. Customer service 101. After all you work on tips . So then ordered deserts . Then bill came and that is when we asked for the manager because we were unhappy. So his rationale was he ate the sandwich so he should pay even though that’s not what he wanted and their lack of running a restaurant skills so be it. They were yelling at us meanwhile people at a table next to us it couldn’t have been a good experience for them either. They refused to comp anything. Really a Italian restaurant out of eggplant. They acted like we were idiots and it was our first time at a restaurant. At the end the waiter comes over and says we can’t put this on him . Really it’s your job to know what your kitchen has or doesn’t have and if the kitchen doesn’t inform you well that’s a bigger problem. But have the decency to come over and explain to your customers who pay your salary . Blame the chef I don’t care but apologize after all it’s all about customer service and tips. I have never stiffed a waiter ever in my life but this lunch was the worse experience I have ever had with no one showing accountability and trying to make it better. Very sad and I don’t think this restaurant will be there in 6 months with the incompetent staff they have. I can’t speak for all the staff but the managers and this waiter are frightening. I’ve told so many people about this experience since remember word of mouth.

Although I’ve had good experiences at other Carmine restaurants this was the worst. The table cloth was dirty, the table wasn’t fully set, there were dirty glasses, and the food was okay but nothing special or exceptional. Not that this is the most important thing, but the menus were very dirty and the the wine list looked like it could’ve fallen apart.
