Small but extremely clean and neat. Adequate number of computers and laptops for personal use. Seldom do you have to wait in line. Staff is courteous and quick to help. For a small fee you can make copies and print out web pages. Also family and youth and kid activities. Wheel chair accessible. Clean restrooms in the lower level. Accessible by elevator.

Love this library! Awesome staff and great place to bring the kids (fun and educational toys, books, and computers in the children's room). They have cool programs here too, like when they brought in people from the National Aviary to do a presentation on owls. Updated and clean atmosphere in a beautiful old building.

I spent many hours in this library as a child, and at age 60 I still have fond memories of pouring over books in the children's room with my mother and 2 younger brothers, and then taking our treasures home to read. My father was from Italy and had a 5th grade education. My mother had grown up in Lawrenceville, the daughter of Italian immigrants, who valued reading and wanted us to love books. We lived on St. John's Way and did not have money to buy books. I wonder what life would have been like without the Carnegie Library on Fisk Street. In no small part, the Fisk Library, contributed to my love of reading, leading me on to college and then a Masters degree. I belong to two book groups and love my local public library here in Maplewood NJ. So glad to see it survives and flourishes.
