It's really just okay. Fairly nice selection of books although the organization is messy and the building itself is dreary and depressing. There's nearly nowhere to charge your laptop unless you get lucky. The one thing Hillman really has going for it, though, is the location and hours (kind of 24/7). But I find that the Carnegie main (across the lawn) is a much better choice for studying (much more quiet and comfortable with a plethora of electrical outlets!!).

Pitt students automatically think of the Hillman Library if they need a place to study or have group project meetings. This library offers the largest selection of books and computers on campus, and they are open 24 hours during exam weeks. I like that they have cell phone charge stations everywhere. But this library is always packed and not very quiet at all. If you want a quieter place to study, got to the Cathedral or Falk Library at the Med School, or stay home. Otherwise, good luck looking for a place to study here.

It is a really good place for pitt students to study, the air conditioning and thermo system sometimes not robust

Good library for the students at University of Pittsburgh which is supposed to be designed originally. However, I wish it could be more open for the people who are living in the city.
