We have cottages, bungalows, motel rooms and RV spaces available for rent.

Story

Carter’s is an American owned establishment located on US 1, which will make taking trips to popular attractions convenient. We are 6 miles away from beautiful New Smyrna Beach and 60 miles from Orlando. Mosquito Lagoon is just a few miles south where you can fish on the Indian River. Whether you choose a Motel Room, an Individual Free Standing Cottage, or one of our long term stay Bungalows, we will do all we can to meet your needs. We offer a friendly, clean and relaxing environment. Our goal is to keep you happy so you can relax whether you are away on business or on a much needed vacation. Cottages and Motels are air conditioned and furnished with Queen beds, microwave, refrigerator, flat screen TVs, and air conditioned rooms. We also have a laundromat and swimming pool. You are welcome to use our washing station for your boat when you come back from a long day of fishing.

We have Bungalows ( rented by the month) that are fully furnished with a bedroom, full kitchen and living room.

Just returned from a week at Carters, we had a wonderful visit.  We stayed in one of there cabins and as everyone has shared, Carters is clean, quiet, and friendly.  The photos on the web site are very representative  of what it looks like today.

Decent place, been going to Carter's for years when we would visit Volusia, untill we moved down here. Had a slight issue with one of the guys with a heavy accent back in October during the hurricane... He didn't have our hotel information on file, and gave our room to someone else for the next night after we had stated we we're going to stay longer, we had even paid. But the woman rectified it for us, and she moved things around to accommodate for our family of 4. 

This is not a 5 star hotel by any means, but when ever we have stayed here they have been nice (except that one guy, and even then other rectified his issues). Have always fixed (and cleaned rooms before we had to switch) house keeping has always been friendly, kept us stocked in towels and toiletries. I have also NEVER ever found bugs in any of my rooms EVER that I have stayed in.... To me that's saying something!

Very friendly staff, nice clean pool, the place is clean and not trashy. But the Wi-Fi can be a bit dodgy, when it's working it's great but I can't connect 60% of the time. Once they iron out the bugs in the Wi-Fi I would have no complaints. I think they need a router that allows more connections.
