I'm not sure if they were having an off day or if it's really gone downhill this much. We were concerned about it being crowded but when we got there, there were only three cars in the parking lot. The rest of our party hadn't arrived and the hostess informed us that she could seat us when they arrive. Well when they did arrive she told us that we would need to wait to be seated while the waitress finished up with another table. Again there were only three cars in the parking lot and at least two employees (the hostess and waitress and I would presume a cook) and nobody came in while we waited. So she sat down and we waited. After several minutes she stood up and said she could seat us now. No one had left, at least not by the only entrance but what do I know. We were seated in the first room that had two other occupied tables. We could see into the other rooms and our little group of three tables were all the tables in the restaurant. We ordered the catfish because what else do you order at the Catfish Plantation? We should have ordered something else. We ordered it with their Cajun seasoning. It was a little bit red but it was in no way Cajun seasoned. It was also dry and a bit chewy. The okra and black eyed peas were pretty good but it isn't called the okra and black eyed peas plantation. I used to love this place and I'll give them another shot. If it's better, I'll update this post and if it isn't, I just won't go back.

Food was very good. Atmosphere is amazing! Beautiful restaurant. I didn't have any paranormal experiences, however I can say that I had a really weird feeling in the ladies restroom. Kinda unsettling. As of I was being watched. Neat place overall. Definitely worth the drive to Waxahachie.

The place was packed and the wait for our food was a bit long, but SOO worth it! Our food was fresh and hot when it arrived, and tasted amazing! The catfish was tender and flaky with a lovely tasting, crunchy crust! The tarter sauce was divine, and tasted home made! Will definitely eat there again!

We came early to avoid the wait and it's really good. Very friendly staff. Several pumpkin themed menu items for October, if you like pumpkin.

Excellent food. Great menu. Need to go there on Thursday nights because they have an all you can eat catfish special. Makes it really affordable for a family period I don't drink but everybody it was saying the bar was really good
