The Cathedral of St. Joseph is a very special place to me.   God is so present there...in the music, homilies, masses, scripture readings, and especially the people.  Monsignor Quirk is known in this entire region for speaking from the heart and scriptures.  People often say it is as though he is speaking directly to me. Parish members come from Ohio, West Virginia and Pennsylvania to hear him speak.
Most of all there is an ambience of peace and spirituality rarely found and so wonderful to experience.  There is nothing like spending time there in the silence where one can listen to God's voice. I love this place.

I am 4th generation OF flaherty Family to attend St.Joseph's Catherdal. My great grandparents, Anna & Edward Flaherty were members here when they came from Ireland.  My grandfather Michael Flaherty's sisters, we're teaching nuns at Mount De Chantel Academy, Sister Mary Margaret & Sister Mary Elizabeth Flaherty now deceased.  I now live far away but I visit home I always attend mass here. Many of my relatives are still members!
