Cedar ridge RV park is a little diamond in the dirt just outside of Calico Rock that, with a bit of attention, cleaning ,love and a couple of eviction notices, would be a Five Star park.
It has seen better days.
First, the good about Cedar Ridge.

It is less than 1 mile from "downtown" Calico Rock.
It has full hookups for each RV site ( electric, sewer, water).
It has a bathhouse with shower.
It has a nice grassy play area for your kidlets to romp.
It has trash cans  and picnic tables for each site.
Sites are all pull thru with small gravel and mostly level.
The prices per night are reasonably low.
The park is owned by the sweetest man on the planet, Mr. Gene.
It is pet friendly as long as pets are kept on leashes and picked up after.
It has a one million dollar view at the end of the park at the bluff  that overlooks the White River and the mountains.
Most of the sites are tree shaded or have cool rock formations in them.
The park is never full, there are 12 or 15 sites available.

Now, the bad about Cedar Ridge RV park.

There is no WiFi or cable, but it is available down the hill at the Information Center.
There is no pool or access to the river without going a few miles further down the road to Chessmon  Ferry Access.
The park closes in late October or mid November and re-opens in March.

The park is never full due to the full time "tenants" trashy ways.
There are two RVs that look like they have been there for years with trash, junk, recliners, car parts, used air conditioners, clothes lines, woodpiles, dogs and a general unsavory atmosphere .

We couldn't use our picnic table because the full time tenants ( from here known as FTTs) pit bull dog was laying in the middle of it the whole time.
Another smaller dog jumped all over us and shredded my legs with its razor sharp claws.
We couldn't step outside our camper without stepping over two other dogs belonging to FTTs that took over our outdoor rug and under our picnic table.
We couldn't cook out or eat outside because of these 3 dogs hanging around mooching and getting underfoot.
We really didn't care for having to look at FTTS laundry hanging all over the place on makeshift clotheslines strung from trees to RVs.
Isn't there a Laundromat in town?
The biggest problem  was the rap music concert that the FTTs treated us to both mornings at 8 am. Loud. Blasting. Rap. Music.
Um, thanks, but we came up from Little Rock to get AWAY from that type of stuff.

I feel that if the owner would just get rid of the FTTs, more people would be able to enjoy the beautiful small gem that is Cedar Ridge RV park.

Just to be fair, we stayed two different times, so its not like we are making a snap judgement.  
I want to give this park 5 stars for view, rates and location.
One star for the rest of it. When the FTTs are gone, we will be back.
