This is my favorite place in America! George and Kristin have built an amazing oasis - it's serene, beautifully landscaped and best of all waterfront property. They maintain their handmade cabins immaculately. I would live here year round if they'd let me. You will love your stay here. Also, expect to be offered local activity and restaurant suggestions that will be uniquely suited to your tastes. Enjoy the perfect vacation.

A Little Slice of Paradise in Mid-Coast Maine My husband and I recently spent two nights at the Cedarholm Garden Bay Inn and had such a wonderful time that, promptly upon returning home, we booked ourselves in for another visit. George and Kristin Palmer, along with Kristin's parents, have created a little waterfront paradise. This family-run property has 6 individual cottages, which were built by the owners themselves. Four of the cottages are right on the water, and two are set back amongst gorgeous and meticulously-tended gardens. The cottages are welcoming and comfortable, and have been lovingly maintained. We stayed in the Osprey cottage and had a wall to wall panoramic view of the bay. We loved spending our time looking out of the window as the view changed through the day, and nothing could be more peaceful than falling asleep to the sound of the waves lapping against the shore. For our return visit, we have booked the Loon and the Osprey, as we will have more family with us. The Loon also has a gorgeous view, a gas fireplace, and contains two levels, with one bedroom downstairs, and a bedroom loft upstairs. I also can't say enough about the warmth and hospitality of our hosts. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by George and Kristin as if we were long-awaited visiting family. They provided us with great recommendations for our visit and helped make arrangements on very short notice for dinner at one of the nicest restaurants in the area. Their breakfasts are delicious, usually featuring a frittata and a delicious baked treat made by Kristin's mother. We can't wait for our return visit soon!

Majestic flower gardens where early morning thoughts collided with the beauty of nature blossoming before you. The liveliness in the bay excited the youthfulness within. Enjoyed every moment in our waterfront cottage, seashell hunting, the rocky shoreline, a geologists dream! Slept at night with the windows open to hear the symphony of beautiful sounds from the waves crashing the shoreline. Amazing sunrises that inspire! Awakening the spirit. Exquisite flavors tease the most sophisticated taste buds. Early morning homemade frittatas with local ingredients from the organic vegetable garden right on property cared for with pride by the wonderful innkeepers. Best of all the family....gracious, thoughtful, hard working, talented. Beautiful people sharing a piece of Maine's paradise. Every recommendation Kristin and Joyce provided was pure heavenly. Thank you so much Kristin, George, Joyce and Barry.

Having served thirty years in the U.S. Navy and travelled extensively around the world you occasionally find something extraordinary. Cedarholm is exactly that special place that stands above all others. This exquisite Inn is truly a labor of love and a families gift to all who share this paradise on the coast of Maine. My wife and I will cherish the memories of our stay here for the rest of our lives. Our very best wishes to George, wife Kristin and family. We wish you continued success and many happy years in your own Shangri-La!

What a wonderful experience this was. My husband & I had never been to the Camden area so we were very excited to enjoy a beautiful spot on the ocean. It was just amazing! The cottage was on the water, private, clean, and beautiful. We couldn't have asked for more. Kristen and George were gracious and it is obvious the minute you arrive that you are sharing their home with them. They have cleared this land and built all of the cottages themselves. The love and hard work is clear. Breakfast was made with all vegetables and herbs from the gardens around the property and was amazing! We usually spend our Summer vacation on Nantucket but it has become so crowded and has lost its quiet charm. We have found our new slice of heaven at Cedarholms Garden Bay Inn.
