I have been dealing with CARES for over 20 years now. I trust them completely with my beloved, furry family members. The staff is there because they want to make a positive difference in a pet's life. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Thank you CARES for all you do.

Do not bring your pets here!! Total waste of time and money. Unwilling to offer any solutions that don’t line their pockets with profit. They couldn’t care less about what is actually best for your pet. And the markup is the highest of any vets office I’ve ever been to. I really wish we never went at all since they did nothing for my dog.

I was reffered to CARES by my dogs primary vet. After my first visit here I met the doctor a total of two times. She told me after the first visit that I could continue to follow up with her and make monthly apointments as she is on a steriod which needs to be monitered. Being that it is a hospital it is not cheap (which is understood and I chose to go through with the hospital visits knowing so) She explained that I could possibly have my dogs labs done for a more affortable cost at the WHS if I wanted to try that, and then follow back up with her after a month for her visit. I came back in to have a check up (after having her labs done else where) and to either get a refill or try to tapper her off the pred. The doctor told me I could follow up with my primary but that she would refill her prescription. In the first visit I had here I told her I was reffered to CARES by my primary because of the level of care she would need. I told her that I was not a fan of them for internal medicine help only because I think that my dog has done best WITHIN internal medicine specialists. I asked her if she knew of another vet(primary doctor) that she could then suggest. She told me that they do not reffer patients to other practices if that patient was reffered to THEM. I left the office feeling thrown aside and more importatly confused on what to do for my dogs care. "Policey" in terms of money in their pocket for a refferal system should NEVER be brought up to a patient. First, be witty enough to realize how that is coming across to the patient who was not only reffered to YOU but then atleast is bitting their tounge and not argueing after you tell them to go back. I have been to so many offices trying to help my dog with this condition, and I have been reffered plenty of times before in order to get the right doctor or specialist which is what has gotten this poor 10 year old dog to a better chance of stabilizing her care. I called the office the same day after feeling like I had had enough, I was sick of feeling lost in my dogs care and to feel only worse after a visit from a doctors bedside manner is uncalled for. The manager was not in but she did call me back. She was kind and but unfortunetly called while I was at work. I explained I could not take the time to speak at that moment but she offered to have me call back on a better day. That I give them credit for and I wish that would have been the level of care all along. Perphaps you will have a wonderful time here and as a pet owner I hope that you do, but this was not my experience unfortunately.

A marrow bone got stuck on my dog's lower jaw - very scary morning and he/I was a nervous shaking crying mess. They were amazing. Told me to come right in, no questions asked. Took us right back and let me stay with him until the DR took him back to sedate him. Took great care of him, kept me up to date and took care of my baby quickly.

They were very caring during a difficult time when having to say goodbye to my best friend, my boy "Cute Baby". Would recommend to anyone who truly wants the best for their animal family.
