Story

We have three locations to serve you in Tifton, Cordele, and Valdosta. Dr. Patrick Goodman is located in the Tifton office. Dr. Don T. Smith is located in the Cordele office Monday - Wednesday and is in the Tifton office on Thursday. Dr. Travis Bailey is located in the Valdosta office.

Dr. Patrick Goodman is board certified in Pain Medicine and Anesthesiology. He specializes in treating a variety of acute and chronic pain conditions. He is known for targeting the source of patients' pain, instead of just the symptoms. This leads to long term pain relief and allows patients to return to their jobs, lives, and families.

Dr. Goodman graduated from Dublin High School in 1996 with honors. He went on to earn his bachelor's degree in Microbiology from the University of Georgia in 2000. He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 2004. Following medical school, he completed his anesthesia residency at MCG in 2008. He completed his fellowship in pain management at MCG in 2009.

Dr. Goodman moved to Tifton in 2009 with his family and started working at Centers for Pain Management. He bought the practice in 2012. He and his wife, Sarah, have two sons. They love being part of the Tifton community.

Dr. Goodman is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, the Georgia Society of Interventional Pain Physicians and the Georgia Society of Anesthesiologists.

Dr. Don Smith Jr. is a native of Tifton. He specializes in pain management in both the Cordele office and the Tifton office.
He is a graduate of Tift County High School and Valdosta State University. He completed medical school in 1995 with a Doctorate of Medicine degree from the Medical College of Georgia. He completed his residency in anesthesiology in 1999 at MCG where he served his last year as chief resident.

He is a current member of the Georgia Society of Anesthesiologists, the Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians and the American Medical Association.

Prior appointments include: Phoebe Putney Memorial Staff Anesthesiologist for Albany Anesthesia Associates 1999-2004, Phoebe Dorminy Medical Center where he served twice as chief of the medical staff and chief of anesthesia services while maintaining a growing pain practice. Dr. Smith joined Centers for Pain Management in 2014.

Dr. Smith currently lives in Tifton with his wife, Nancy, and their three children, Trey, Hutton and Greyson.

Dr. Travis L. Bailey is a board certified, fellowship trained Anesthesiologist who specializes in treating a variety of acute and chronic pain conditions. His holistic approach incorporates appropriate medical management, minimally invasive procedures, and physical therapy with the goal of providing pain relief, restoringpatients’ function, and improving quality of life.

Dr. Bailey is a native of Valdosta, graduating from Valdosta High School before receiving a degree in Chemistry from Valdosta State University. He then continued his education and received his medical degree from the Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine at Virginia Tech University. After medical school, he completed his Anesthesiology residency, and Interventional Pain ManagementFellowship at Michigan State University in Lansing and Saginaw, Michigan.

He is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, American Society of Regional Anesthesia, and all state and local societies.

Dr. Bailey and his wife, another southern Georgia native, currently have one son with another on the way. They are both very happy to be back in Valdosta and are excited to get involved in the community.
