I signed a one year lease with Central park apartment last month. But I have been suffering from the apartment water leaking for a month. I found the water leaking after we moved in. Then I contacted the apartment office and asked for repair service. They told me that they need to order the needed parts and would fix the problem within a few days. Obviously they lied to me. Nothing has been changed since then. Then next Monday, Okemos area had a heavy rain early in the morning. My bedroom mattress was all wet, which also damaged my phone and other stuff. I was very disappointed. Then I tried to communicate with the office manager. I was told they will send someone to come and help fix the issue. I was waiting at home for a whole day. Nobody came here. They lied me again. Then I went to office to ask for help. Then the manager, Jennifer, was rude to me. She still said they will try as much as they can, cannot even let me know when they can get it fixed. I was very frustrated at that point. I have tried to reached out the Regional Manager to complain. We were thinking to terminate the contract or get the compensation, but they all don't have a positive attitude to get back to me. One week later after all this, this final fixed it, and I hope it is real. However, they still didn't say something about the whole thing and didn't get back to us. They totally ignore the impact on us cause by the problem. I'm so disappointed about the placed and the way they manage and treat their customers. There is no one can help you if you have problem here, so think about carefully when you consider this place.

Team is good and helpful, but they add charges that they won't tell during inspection. So we have to wait for surprise charges and can expect security deposit gone. Mostly agree with 3 reviews below. We lost $1000 by living here. For one spot on carpet they did not need to change whole house carpet. They could change just that room or even fix.  But they say whole apartment and charged $900. Then they added counter top marks, which were there since we moved in. Staff were good maintenance were always helpful. But if management trying best to extract charges by whatever means, what could staff do about it. Management needs to have better ethics and principles

Worst Apartment ever lived. Every time you talked with the people at leasing office, they changed their mind. You'd better record their word every time. Jennifer is the worst leasing person I ever met. She has an attitude problem to minorities.

Do not rent this apartment!! The apartment is under new management & they are disrespectful and arrogant!! I have been living at Central Park apartments for the past three years and for over a year, I have been complaining about a sewer smell coming from the washroom. Maintenance switched out the old washing machine, because they thought that was the reason for the stench; however, the smell returned after using the new machine. Maintenance have used a few washing machine cleaner over the past several months to clean the machine and the smell would dissipate for a few days then return after I do laundry. I called the rental’s office on Monday January 30, 2017 to have someone fix this problem yet again and I was completely disrespected by the office manager. I am currently waiting for them to figure out what is causing this sewer smell. I will be taking further actions to get this issue resolved. It is long overdue. I will update my review regarding this problem.

UPDATE! March 8, 2017
As I write this update I am suffering from the stench emitting from the washroom. The managers have promised to move us from this apartment to another apartment; therefore, we are awaiting that move. I suffer from headaches whenever the smell arises and it is excruciating to say the least. I am sick just living in this apartment and simply sick and tired of complaining. Nobody should have to live like this for the amount of money we pay for rent. I am not even upset anymore I am simply sick, but I am waiting for the authorities to do something, anything to get me out of this apartment.

Do not even sign the waiting list! !!
Extreme irresponsibility and insolent office staff who definitely can be called crook! We signed the waiting list for the beginning of September and pay their 300 dollars for deposit. They promised they would give back our money if no apartment offered to us on time. But the fact is they did not offer the apartment we want on time and they DIDN’T GIVE BACK OUR MONEY! The reasons they give us were they called us and leave a voice mail, which we did not receive at all. “I assume the phone was worked because I left a voice mail” “I did not make it up, I really want you guys live here.” Those ridiculous words directly come from their crook staff without one word change. The insincerity of their staff makes me feel disgusting. If they really want we stay at this community, they will connect us through both email and phone. I really believe that what they really want is money. It is totally a HOAX! So be careful, keep your phone full of battery and never out of service if you signed their waiting list, because they would charge you for that.
