central park Davis is a happening place such as weekly farmers market, various festivals including annual international festival, protests and demonstrations, children games etc. there is also a US bicycle hall of fame with very interesting collection of bicycles and history.  overall Davis is a nice peaceful and green city with miles and miles of bike lanes and bike paths.

Every wedsnday the farmers market is chock full of fresh fruit+veg & delicious hot phood, not to mention the wide variety of bounce houses brought by Bobs Bouncing Bungalows. All great elements in a park.

It is Wednesday which is the farmers market and picnic in the park.  Families come with their children. Today there were several children less than six months old. Each Picnic in the Park includes music. Today the musicians played klezmer music.

Nice park. I visited in the afternoon, it was quite and peaceful.

Big grass area, large awning for the farmers market. Market was not open obviously.

We ate some food from Burgers and Brews at the park bench.

I'm not a local so it nice to find a good little spot to relax and eat.

This is a great park and is also the location of the Davis Farmer's Market. There is a beautiful California-friendly/native garden with cool artwork. Great place to bring the kids to play, walk the dog or have a picnic under the trees. Heads up for those with allergy sensitivities, the park is filled with Sycamore trees. In summer and fall be sure to bring your allergy meds!
