I had an account with Centris at one point, but thankfully I left them behind. I ultimately closed my accounts because they had a hard time getting something as simple as my address correct. Statements would make it to me, but my replacement cards would go to an old address. When trying to use cards online, it would say my address was incorrect and reject the payment. After months of this we closed everything out. Today only reinforced my reasons for leaving. I sold some furniture and took a check for it. I’m always a bit leery of taking checks in the off chance that they bounce and I get stuck holding a useless check and a returned check fee. So I brought in the check for $75 drawn off of Centris to cash it. Now I’ve worked at a bank and people did this all the time. All we needed was ID and a fingerprint. Not Centris... they also want your SSN and a $5 check cashing fee?!?! Are you kidding me? Centris can shove their high fees and incompetence where the sun doesn’t shine. I’m glad I’m no longer a customer and I would advise everyone to stay away.
