Century 21 was doing property management for an apartment we rented, and they were absolutely terrible. Their rental staff appeared to be 2 people managing hundreds of properties, and they were constantly stressed out sounding and unresponsive. 

They failed to do a walk-through for the apartment after we signed the lease, so i video recorded one of my own. It was a constant struggle to get ahold of anyone for basic maintenance... and then they lied about sending me 3 notices via mail and tried to fine me for ignoring them! ( this was eventually overturned )

Eventually the property owner cut his ties with them. I'm not sure why, but it was probably because they were not doing their job for him or us.

I would not recommend renting one of their properties or letting them manage yours.

Unfortunately I had a terrible experience with the realtor Lisa Street. We we bought a house from her client and it was left in terrible conditions. Garbage was left in all but one room of the house. Some of the things we found were dirty dishes, tons of old paint and varnish, food just sitting out in containers, an old TV, even an oxygen machine! We had seven people cleaning the house for a solid 3 hours (21 hours of work) to get MOST of the garbage thrown away in that house. And then three of us came back the next day and worked for another two hours before ALL of the garbage/stuff was out. And we hadn't even cleaned ANYTHING. I realize Lisa is not the seller, however, as the agent she should have expected her client to leave the house in better condition than how it was found. To say it was disgusting is an understatement. We were utterly shocked by how we had been treated. Before buying from her clients I highly recommend walking through the house before you sign the closing papers!

Ken Averett did an outstanding job selling my house. Not all agents are the same, and a great agent can make a critical difference.

The agent I had used to purchase my house seemed just average, so when it came time to sell it a few years later, I went on the Dave Ramsey website to get the names of his Endorsed Local Providers. I interviewed all three recommended by Ramsey, and Ken was easily the stand-out. Ken's experience and intelligence are impressive, and he also has a great sense of humor and is easy to work with.  

Ken came up with a unique strategy to list my house for 20,000 more than the other agents. I think that his ingenious plan was the result of his many years of experience and his keen insight into the appeal of the house to potential buyers. The house is a midcentury modern, and Ken understood that while many people would not be interested in it, a smaller subset of buyers would love it and be willing to pay extra.
 
Ken was able to get a full price offer within three days. The offer came with some potentially worrisome contingencies, but Ken did a careful analysis and chose the exact right course at every turn. He handled the transaction with confidence. It was all done so smoothly from start to finish, I didn't have to worry about anything and was able to focus on other aspects of the move. 

My net profit on this house was 20,000 to 25,000 more than it would have been had I gone with one of the other Dave Ramsey agents, which represents a difference of 40 to 50%. I am astonished at what Ken was able to do. As I have now moved to a much more expensive state, the extra money was very welcome for the down payment on my new house. Were it not for Ken, I think I would now be renting. I LOVE this man!
