Very tasty Chinese kosher restaurant inside Kroger supermarket. Large size has a decent quantity of food. Recommend the chicken and beef with rice noodles or fried rice. Order takes around 20-25 min wich gives you a chance to browse the large kosher groceries selection avaiable on the supermarket. Will come back for sure next Atlanta visit.
A year ago I was here and left a justly terrible review. So when we came back through town I felt obligated to try it again Whether it was my review or something else I'm happy to say it was a completely different experience. I had the Human beef. The small portion was plenty for lunch and I'm a big fat guy. It was spicy like it's supposed to be. The vegetables were fresh and well cut. The beef had a good texture and was tasty. My wife's cashew chicken was also tasty. Both dishes come out hot like they should. The seating area is minimal but thats because it's a Kroger. I'm always happy to see an establishmen get its act together
Food is amazing Chinese and even though it’s in a supermarket you CAN sit down there there is a small seating area in the entrance of the Kroger grocery store that it’s in.Food: 5/5
I was so excited because I only eat kosher or halal. This place is not far from me and is fully kosher. Ordered general tso chicken, white rice, and two egg rolls. One was beef and one was veg. I get there to pick up and food was surprisingly 25 dollars. Never paid that much for carry out in my life and I ONLY eat halal and kosher. The egg rolls were salty. The chicken was soggy and mostly breading. Very little sauce. Very little flavor. I was disappointed. I don’t mind paying if it tastes good. And it didn’t .
I have been taking food out from Chai Peking for many years. It’s always been good and very dependable, In that regard. my recent visit, though was extraordinary. I picked up the food around 1:30 in the afternoon, on Friday for Shabbos, and we ended up eating around 530 later that day, and actually ate it at room temperature . It was excellent best I’ve ever had. the vegetables were crisp, the meat was properly cooked. Everything was just perfect. Some of the items We ordered: the egg-rolls with meat in them, They were delicious. The dumplings were delicious. The general chow’s chicken was beyond good, the breading was light, chicken was moist, and the sauce was appropriately spicy. We also ordered a new dish, for us, Mongolian beef, that is now a staple of our dinners. The house special fried rice was extraordinary even the white rice, which is my favorite was moist and properly cooked. The new containers are also great, no food leaks in the bags when Carrying food home. Everything was just so delicious and well prepared. You can tell that management cares about what they’re putting out. It’s definitely the best, kosher take-out in Atlanta and possibly in the entire south! Also, dollar for dollar it’s a great value, the portions are excellent and the protein in the dishes is in good proportion. The food was ready when promised and service was excellent! Way to go Chai Peking! Thanks The only thing more amazing than delicious carefully seasoned properly prepared, for takeout food, is the chef, mordechai Snyder! Pick the food up on time, Early Friday afternoon Morning Very . Ate it for dinner Friday evening at room temperature it was so delicious. Portions were generous, plenty of meet in those dishes, vegetables were crispy and beautifully Cut. Had the most excellent Chinese food for Shabbos, more on Sunday and just finished the egg drop soup with meat dumplings in them and every dumpling had a big piece of chicken in it. So much care goes into everything. I just returned from LA where I had Chinese Food on W. Pico Ave. does not even hold a candle to our Chai Peking! Every dish I had was just extraordinary thank you, Chai Peking! Vegetarian options: We often get tofu dishes and they are always prepared properly and delicious. The vegetable side dishes are excellent. The only one that I would caution people about, if they have to wait time before eating, is the green beans and onions. The dish is wonderful if you’re going to eat it right away but if you have to wait, hours, before eating the green beans, do not stand up well to the wait. Dietary restrictions: Strictly kosher and I believe they offer gluten-free entrées as well which I’ve never tried Parking: Kroger parking lot in Toco hills, plenty of parking Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is in toco Hills Kroger so it’s very accessible
My food, Hunan Beef, was good. Although it was not shockingly good, other than its price, it was good. I spent $16 something on a regular Hunan Beef. By the way, the place is in the Kroger store. Due to Google's incorrect location information, I wasted quite a long time around the mall.
. I am not Chinese. But I do believe. This to be the best Chinese food around. been a customer for over 20 years have have never been disappointedFood: 5/5
This is the best Chinese meal I ever had. I highly recommend the General’s Tso chicken and the dumplings. The food is fresh and very flavorful. It’s absolutely delicious and Mordechai is such a wonderful and kind person. He might speak in French to you if you ask nicely.Food: 5/5
Finally tried this place and it was great. The General Tso's Chicken and Beef Trudy Style were both excellentFood: 5/5
In all of my travels this is by far the best place to get Gluten Free Chinese food that just so happens to be Kosher. All of their food is prepared fresh by the friendliest staff and you get generous portions. I will always visit these guys when I am in Atlanta on business.
