Top notch work. Chris, the owner, will make sure that all work is professionally performed. I have seen him working on $10,000 bikes and if someone can trust him to work on their expensive bike like that then I am sure I want him working on my not so expensive bike. You really can't put a price that kind of knowledge!

A great old school bike shop with the owner always there . Chris is by far the best bicycle mechanic and updated bicycle person anyone can  meet.
His 40 plus years in the business gives him the edge of bicycle knowledge and of all new technology. He is the ultimate  renaissance man in cycling !

My rear brake when out of wack, I tried to repair in myself (v-brake).  I made a total mess of it.  Chris at Chapman's repaired the brake, remounted the wheel which was out of line, repaired the kick stand.  Great repair in a very reasonable time, at a very reasonable cost.  I am a "happy camper," and happy rider.  I would highly recommend Chapmans.

Owner Chris runs one of those old-fashioned bike shops like that of a master craftsman. Whether you're a serious cyclist or a parent looking to buy a bike for your child (or even if you just need someone to repair a flat tire), Chris is someone I trust 100%. His prices are very fair and he backs up what he sells. 

Chris has been in bicycle business for 40+ years and has trained many a mechanic over the years. I ride in New Hampshire and, amazingly, the owner of the shop I use was trained by Chris - and he, too is an excellent mechanic and credits Chris for his early training. 

While Chapman's may not always have the exact bike you want (space is limited and so his inventory is smaller), he can ensure you are sized and set up for the best bike for you - and have it in a day or two all ready to go. All the major bike manufacturers know Chris and can supply him. 

Bottom line: Chris is my "go to man" for all things bicycling in the New Haven area - and you won't go wrong if you use him too. You get personalized service from an old pro and cycling advocate. It's no wonder you'll often find a couple of other fellow cyclists hanging out at his shop.

Awesome experience!!!!!
I've been to other bike shops and thought I was getting good service. Chris just brings it to the next level, very personal and professional.
He asked me a lot of questions about my riding experience and addressed my needs accordingly. I have the bike that fits my needs and didn't break the bank.
