It was not a good meal but they really try to make the best of it. Appetizers came with the main course and the desert was awful. We had a massive hair in our burger. While the manager handled it very well it still does not change the fact that it is just not good enough for us to come back. If the food was good all the rest would work. Would need a significant change in the kitchen for us to come back. Sorry.
I met a friend for dinner here last night, 11-16. I ordered the shrimp tacos & broccoli. I was on the fence about ordering the broccoli; the server mentioned that it was marinated. I'm glad I tried it. It was pretty good. The tacos were good. I was only interested in the filling. If you're starving, they may not leave you satiated. The server was nice enough to let us know about the martini specials. That sour apple was some kinda wonderful. My friend thought our server was a little pushy & ingenuine. We'd barely had our dinner when she asked us about dinner & our checks. She seemed to forget about my friend's shirley temple as we saw her sitting down & using her phone. After my friend reminded her about it, she apologized & promptly brought her drink.
Tried for the 1st time. Order was supposed to be ready in 30 minutes. Had to wait another 20 minutes for 2 burgers and fries to be ready. And then, one of them had pickles and onions it wasn’t supposed to. I didn’t know until after I got home with the food. We were not impressed with the food at all. The burger had no flavor/seasoning. It was probably the worst burger we’ve had. Disappointing experience all the way from wait time to quality and accuracy of the food ordered. We won’t be back.
This is the first time we have been to this restaurant. We sat outside in the heated area and it was very nice. Unfortunately, the service was really slow and bad. Had to wait a long time for food. My husband never got his second beer. Seems like the waiters did not want to come outside to serve the food was really good , thankfully. Lastly, we went there to watch a football game. It started at one. I asked five different waiters and host and manager if they could change the TV to the football game, They all said yes, but we sat there for an hour and it never changed. Will probably not come back
We ate at Charbar and the food was delicious! Our server Erin was exceptional! She was very efficient and friendly and made sure that we had everything we needed. We will definitely go back we had a great experience.
We had a dinner here and it was delicious. The food came out quick and our server, Erin was amazing!! I can’t say enough good things about the service we received! We will for sure be back.
The food is consistently good but the service is consistently BAD. If you are lucky enough to get seated in their half empty restaurant when you show up you most definitely will wait at least 45 minutes for your food. But if you aren’t lucky you will show up to their half empty restaurant and be told you have to wait between 15-30 minutes. It truly is ridiculous. The food isn’t good enough to wait.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Second visit to a Char Bar No.7, and first time to this location. Excellent all the way around. Four of us dining, two burgers, two salads. Greeting and seating was quick and courteous at 12 o'clock on a Friday. Table was clean and comfortable. Waitress greeted us in less than a minute, and quickly filled initial drink order. Refills a sign of attentive service were quick throughout our experience. Orders were filled accurately, food was delivered by the manager and a kitchen manager as well. I've always appreciated a restaurant where FOH and BOH work together. Salads were fresh and well plated; burgers were cooked to the EXACT requested temperatures. The waitress and manager both checked back after first bites to make sure everything was perfect. We were chatting and visiting and stayed over an hour. The waitress never made us feel unwelcome and made frequent checks on us. When we asked for it, the bill was delivered quickly and tendered just as fast. A homerun by the entire staff. Highly recommend.
I always stop here while I'm back home. Great friendly staff with a great menu. I love the Maui tacos and white BBQ chicken pita. Very cozy clean restaurant. They just recently add a shrimp scampi flat bread that is out of this world!
We love Char Bar. They do a great job. It's rare to find a place that cooks your burger correctly. I usually have the Leap Year lettuce, tomato, bacon, garlic aoli and a fried egg. Wedge Salad is always a solid choice too. We like sitting at the bar and eating a leisurely dinner. Phil the bartender is great with suggestions and always good for a laugh.
