I’ve used Murphy’s Plumbing for 6+ years and perhaps on 7-8 serve calls. 

I’d probably give them 5 stars for quality of work. I’d give them 2 for dealing with my customer issues and concerns. They ignore my feedback. I think my concerns have been fair. If my feedback was not, they never educated me on why they charged what they charged or did what they did etc. 

1st. Main issue was when they charged around $2k for service work after I moved in. They had two technicians doing my project. I had one of the plumbers complain that they other guy wasn’t working fast or hard enough. Why would you tell a homeowner that? And the work was hourly. So my big bill I paid but also complained about perhaps being charged too much? No response from the owners. 

2nd. I’ve used a few different plumbers since the first time I had an issue. Yet Murphy is 3 min from my house. So I’ve given them a try whenever possible. Hard to find a quality and affordable plumber these days. 

3rd. Recently, it took around 5 days before they would fix my toilet. If they had looked at it, they could have fixed it in a couple minutes. Instead they ordered parts to save time in case it needed a major repair. They sent two technicians again for a toilet repair. Really? The bill was well over $200 - close to $300. 

Same thing, I paid the bill and wrote a letter explaining that I needed to be educated about the cost and why they sent two guys to do a 1 man job. They also replaced my $75 auto close toilet seat with a $20 one. They did replace it with the correct one after I commented on it. Yet, I feel like a whiner and complainer having to reach back out to a professional company. Then I just get ignored. I’m a reasonable guy. I am a marketer for home improvement contractors for a living. So I get it. But the least thing these guys should do is educate and explain to their customers why they do what they do. If I felt heard, I’d probably bump up this review. 

The quality is great. Communication needs work here.

Charles F. Murphy has come out to do multiple jobs for us.  They have been on time, efficient, and reasonably priced.  The work has been done well and we've had no problems since.  I will continue using them.

True to Murphy's Law, quite a lot that could go wrong with an installation project with these guys did. Personal property was destroyed, nearby businesses were damaged, and the entire job took far longer to get started than it should have. In the end, their installation was okay, but I would have liked if they were more professional about it.

I have called them twice for various plumbing issues. Not only did they come out the same day, they fixed the issue, went above and beyond what they were called for, they are reasonably priced, their plumbers are friendly and knowledgeable, and they didn't make me feel like a silly crazy clueless woman.
