I am traveling abroad and looking for a checking account where I won't get assessed ATM fees. Heard about Charles Schwab and decided to come in. The lady helped me, except confused me with one question that I later on called the 1-800 to clear up. Overall, she was very helpful and didn't push for me to open an account. Later on that day I opened one using their online application.

i have been trying to call and get a human on the phone for hours - - to reschedule an appt.!!! no such luck.

MAKES SURE YOU GIVE THEM AT LEAST A WEEK IF TRYING TO GET AN ESCROW DONE. They have a corporate policy against issuing cashiers checks for escrow and take a day to set up a wire.
