On the recommendation of my son, I went to Charles Schwartz & Son in The Willard hotel. I was lucky enough to work with Mark whose knowledge and professionalism put me at ease right away,  I asked a lot of questions and Mark patiently answered them. I left with three pieces of beautiful jewelry and a ton of confidence thanks to Mark's guidance. I would highly recommend Charles Schwartz & Son to anyone looking for jewelry. You will receive personalized but not pushy service and will leave with a smile on your face and hopefully a beautiful piece or two.

I've purchased four pieces of jewelry from the 1400 F St location of Charles Schwartz & son, an engagement ring, two wedding bands, and diamond earrings.  I've been fortunate enough to work with Mark every time I've visited.  He has been so professional, so friendly and so incredibly knowledgeable about every piece they have.  He makes jewelry shopping fun and puts you at ease as soon as you sit down.  Buying an engagment ring was extremely important and intimidating.  Mark immediately put to rest all of my fears and took the time to understand what I was looking for.  Furthermore, he ably handled all of our sizing needs and has cleaned my (now wifes') engagement ring three times, free of charge.  I will never look anywhere else for jewelry, Charles Schwartz' variety and working with Mark has made me a customer for life!

I have had the opportunity to work with Mark and Joseph.  They always know how to direct me to the best piece for me.  They also have some great vintage pieces from the local area.

I purchased an engagement ring here two years ago. After moving to Ohio, I called them to ask where to take the ring to have it re-sized. The place they sent me actually did significant damage to the ring while re-sizing it. Later, I took the ring back to Chas Schwartz back in Washington, D.C. Mark, the jeweler, took one look at it and assured me that he would get it fixed at no cost. In short time, the ring arrived at my house via UPS in wonderful condition. Several hundred dollars worth of restoration work had been done to it - at no cost to me.

If you deal with either Mark or Lisa at the Hotel Washington location, you cannot go wrong. These are honest business people who believe in the value of a strong reputation.
