Jim is absolutely fantastic. I had quite the situation where I was in immediate need of a new vehicle. Not only did he give me a heck of a deal on the car (which drives beautifully) but also gave me a heck of a deal on my old Subaru. Could not be happier, he made a stressful weekend much easier to deal with and I was able to get back home with zero issues.

I drove almost two hours to look at James' inventory, because he had a few things I was interested in. Due to circumstances beyond the owner's control, I did not end up purchasing a vehicle. However, James (the owner) and his staff were very polite, helpful, and bent over backwards trying to help me out.  Even though I didn't end up buying from James, I would still recommend that anyone who is looking for a used Subaru start here, because he had a good selection, and an obvious love of both the cars he sells and the people he meets.

Jim, the owner, was great to work with. I went to look at his cars about two and a half years ago but did not find one that suited me. Got a car somewhere else but was in an accident and it got totaled. Went back to Jim because I had a great experience working with him before and found a Subaru I love in March. Engine lights came on within a week of purchasing it and he was more than willing to fix it for me and have not had any problems since.  He is knowledgeable about the cars but super laid back and not pushy, which I very much prefer in a dealership. I have texted him questions since and he always is quick to answer. I have sent two other people to get Subaru's from him and they both are very happy with their cars. Thanks Jim!

We had a great experience at Charleston Auto Sales. We purchased a Subaru for our daughter, because it is one of the best cars on the market... They all have head gasket and timing belt issues that are common, which Jim replaces, with new, on most of the cars he sells, which is great! He has specialized in Subaru's for years and knows the ins and outs. We were able to test drive the vehicles we were interested in and all our questions were answered. It was very nice to deal with a small business man that at no time made us feel pressured.

Beware of this company and its owner, Jim. He will swear up and down that his team of mechanics have your car running well. I spent over $6k on a 2008 Forester only to have the engine die on me 2 months and less than 5,000 miles later. Spend your money somewhere else.
