Charlestown, Maryland As a history and architecture buff and historic traveler from New Jersey it was a wonderful exprience walking in your town yesterday 5/6/13! your linton house-indian queen-red lion tavern make a unique 18th century steetscape. i have explored hundreds of 18th century small towns and very very rarely see anything like this. Your town pier and wharf with the history markers, small hilltop cannons and views of the ships of the opposite shores was awsome. Great combination of French and Indian War, Revolutionary War and War of 1812 history (all 3 wars mentioned in the markers) in one small town!
