Chesapeake City, MD holds 2 major 5K run/walk races per year. The New Year's Day race is held on January 1 and the Chesapeake City race is held the last Saturday in June.
These races benefit the citywide recycling program for Chesapeake City, MD. The funds raised from these events allow residents the freedom to recycle and contribute to the betterment and conservation of our natural world.
*All participants are also requested to bring a non-perishable food item to benefit Chesapeake City's community food kitchens.
First 150 prepaid participants receive an event memorandum (t-shirt or event towel). Chesapeake City also has patented souvenirs, including bumper stickers, crab mallets, and calendars, which are sold at each race.
