Been going to Charlie's for years now. He is always informed of all of the latest comics and trends as well as those of the past. He is very professional and courteous and treats everyone with respect. I have visited all of the other shops in Tucson and there isn't one that tops Charlie's for selection and outstanding service.

If you made a list of requirements for the perfect comic shop owner, Charlie would fit pretty much every one of those requirements.
He's just a great, and knowledgeable, guy. And his shop is set up great.
A great selection of back issues, and all the new comics too.

My favorite local comic shop, despite that it's  the most out of the way shop in town for me, it's still my home shop. The selection is good, the service is good, and Charlie routinely runs charity events to raise money for local organizations.

Charlie's is the only comic book shop (and comic book store owner/employee) that sold me on the concept of a subscription.

Why? Because he's exceptionally knowledgeable about current series, past series, artists, writers, and comic publisher politics, too! Not to mention he's just a super nice, friendly, helpful, and honest guy.

If you want, he sends you a monthly newsletter in your email letting you know what's hot and happening in the comic biz, and the few times I've forgotten to come by and pick up my comics, he has held them for me because I'm *usually* pretty good about picking up my subs. (I work full time and go to college full time so sometimes I just forget non-critical things as my brain can get a bit overwhelmed with my schedule...)

He will order just about anything for you if it exists and is available, and a few times he even tipped me off to stuff that I would absolutely love and guess what? I did.

If you are anywhere near the East side of Tucson, (or really even if you aren't, his place is worth the drive) then you should check out Charlie's comics.

P.S. he also holds charity events and whatnot at his place so he's not only a great guy but he's a small business owner that GIVES SUPPORT BACK TO THE COMMUNITY. That's yet another reason his place is worth my money.
