Story

CharMarie Salon opened for business on September 30, 2014. It was the long time dream of salon owner, Charmaine Edwards, to start a high end, boutique style salon in the New River Valley. The focus at CharMarie is on educating our staff so they are up to date on the latest trends so that you will look your best!

Top notch!  Melanie knows what she's doing - best haircut & style (important to know how to do both!) that I've had in YEARS!!!  She listens and understands how to translate your wants (I bring photos) into something that works for you.  Everyone in the salon was super friendly. I am a convert! This is my second time at Charmarie and only good things to say. Booking with Amy K a month in advance is totally worth it and I think speaks volumes about her work & client relationships. I love her willingness to see the pictures I bring and hear what I want as well as really understand what I don't want. Having a stressful career, I appreciate her kind demeanor and that I can count on a relaxing experience for my self-care which is so important for my profession (counselor). It's really nice that she gets that and takes care of me. Easily best salon experience I've had in the NRV!

I briefly worked with Charmaine years ago and was delighted when she decided to open her own salon! She is not only amazing with color or a cut, but she really cares about her customers and their experience. I moved to this area several years ago from a bigger city and it's great having a quality, classy salon so close now. As someone with short hair, it's hard finding a stylist who knows how to get it just right. I scheduled my appointment with a random stylist (can't remember her name) and she was great! I'd feel confident in anyone's hands there. The atmosphere is calming, positive, and simple- not overwhelming or chaotic like some places I've been in more metropolitan areas. Keep up the good work, y'all!
