Chatfield State Park is one of the prettiest state parks I have stayed in. The campgrounds are laid out nice. There are pay showers and washer and driers. After hours check in was easy to do. We were facing the lake and the sunsets were spectacular. The campground and the whole park was quiet and clean. Lots of things to keep busy with here in the park. We didn't have enough time to go explore b all the activities. Hopefully next time we can stay longer.

Chatfield is very well maintained. Also they have a nice Marina and it's easy to load/ unload your boat from their ramps at the Marina. Don't try this during busy times though as you'll be stuck waiting for a long time.

This is a beautiful Park. It is clean well spaced and thought out. Very convenient to the Denver area. The park is extremely large with many things to do with different Lake areas four different types of activities. Anything from fishing to kayaking to sail boats to speed boats, walking jogging hiking you name it they have it. However it did not get a V Star because the same day reservations are extremely inconvenient because you cannot guarantee your spot until 1 p.m. and thereafter.

Great place to boat, bike, and hike. Noticed in pictures a UFO orb I did not see with my eyes. Very weird. Is only in some photos and not others.

The gravel ponds is where I normally go. It's great for fishing in the spring. Use any trout bait on the shore and prepare for great catches.
