This was a different, pleasant experience. Imagine a picnic, on the river, with lobsters. There you have it! My family is not much into lobster and Chauncey Creek Lobster provides some limited alternatives such as chicken and chicken fingers. Some things to keep in mind when you go: I don't recall seeing any restrooms on the pier so best prepare for that. Soda can be purchased at vending machines but they serve water, lemonade and iced tea. This is BYOB so BYOB and other stuff; side dishes you like or other meals for the non-lobster crowd. Pick out your lobster in the "lobster house" and order the rest of your food when you do. Be prepared to pay for your meal when they bring your food - apparently they've had issues with people dining and then dashing. Enjoy!

An incredible dining experience in an unbeatable setting. The open seating right along the water, encouragement to BYO (beverages, sides, tablecloths, wineglasses - whatever you need for your dining experience), and the view out over Chauncey Creek and the woods on the opposite bank afford the opportunity to craft your dining experience. You can dip in for a quick platter of fried seafood, or linger a while over a few lobsters. I love the choose-your-own-adventure attitude of the place. The quality of the food matches the quality of the location. The sides were straightforward and consistently good, but it was the lobster that really did it for us. Well-cooked and well-presented.

The experience started off poorly. We should have left when the establishment failed to correct their issue at that point. Unfortunately, we forced it and completed our order. We received our clam chowder in a timely manner. The chowder was very tasty and the portion was good. And then we waited....and waited.....and waited. We approached the window. The girl informed us that they couldn't find our order. When the original male order taker returned, I asked for a refund for the remainder of our order. He stated it was "only the lobster rolls". At $19.95 per roll, I wouldn't consider it "only". There was no attempt to make it right. We did receive the refund for the remainder of our order. The order taker made comment about our attitude about their mistake. Again, he never attempted to make it right. I would not recommend this establishment unless you're wearing khakis and carrying a cooler of wine and cheap beer. The male order taker obviously will submit your order based on these criteria.

Awesome as always A family tradition to visit when in New England. Great picnic area out on the creek, big tables, some in open air, some in shade. BYOB if you’re in the mood for an adult beverage, they’ve got sodas and water available. Varying sizes of lobsters available, I think you can still pick out the one you want. They offer some great chowder, as well as some other items. They even offer hot dogs for those who won’t indulge themselves. Lobster was super tasty, didn’t take long to cook. Don’t miss it!
