Outdated environment, just us and four people at the bar, one very loud and cursing. We were given stained and dirty menus. At first I thought overpriced, especially after the potato skins. But our sandwiches were fantastic and good French fries. I did notice my prime rib was, well not fresh, but hey I eat at arbys and except it. Then I saw the top of the ketchup bottle. Yeah, not sure how fresh anything was. Our waiter was awesome though.
This place already has a great name! The bar in the middle adds to the name and seems to be a local hangout, which is super cool. There are seating areas to either side of the bar and we sat in the smaller section. The staff was friendly and I dare say fun. They were interactive and actually liked to have conversations without being too intrusive. The food was good. The Ahi Tuna was good and the salad had a great flavor to it. The tuna had just the right amount of flavor. I have had better but it’s been a while since I had this plate, so I was happy to eat it. The Reuben was tasty and the meat was tender with good flavoring. Their was not a lot of meat but almost the right amount as sometimes you can have too much and it overpowers everything. The French dip was good and will be someone’s return plate. The fajita wrap was flavorful but not a fan favorite. I didn’t eat it so I am limited on how much detail I can really give. Oh, they have something called the Texas Twinkie which is basically a cream cheese filled jalapeño wrapped in bacon. We didn’t get an opportunity to try it as it was all sold out, but it will be on the “to do” next time! I almost want to give the place 5 stars as the staff definitely made the place shine but there were a few blemishes to the visit. The main one was the table we were sat at had a lot of crackers broken underneath as if a child was fed there. The staff was definitely busy and not lingering but the cleanliness of the floors did tarnish the place getting 5 stars. I don’t want to sound like the place was a dive. It is actually pretty nice. The food was good and would be a definite “do again” place. Thanks for reading…..Cheers!
Chicken cordon bleu was delicious, the sauce on it was incredible. Burger and fries were pretty good. Dessert is a must! The hot chocolate chip cookie with ice cream was super sweet and delicious, it found the cavity in my tooth! A bit pricey, but so is everything in the area.Food: 4/5
If you read any bad reviews for Cheers... You would be amis to consider any of them to be more than a person having a bad day and taking it out on their surroundings. The prices were right on the mark for the quality of food, as well as the atmosphere is very family friendly. The staff were all working like a fine oiled machine; interacting with guests, smiling and making it a very enjoyable time. If you're traveling through, or new to the area, Cheers is a must check out place you will be so happy you took time to walk into. Definitely a place I could frequent until, and after, it's a place that knows my name and their always glad I came.
We really enjoyed eating here! Service was a bit slow; our appetizer, soup, & meal all came out at the same time - which means our meal was cold by the time we got to eat it. But the food was very good & the atmosphere was very comforting-neighborly.Food: 5/5
Best prime rib I have ever had twice. Keep up the amazing work.Food: 5/5
We loved how the restaurant was decorated. We had the Burrito and Chicken Club sandwich. Our server, Portia, did an excellent job and was fun to talk to. We have found our new restaurant to go to. Thanks for a great evening!Food: 5/5
Nothing really special or over the top about it. Service was good and quick. The French dip I had was okay. My friend had what they called a 1/2 lbs. Burger and it may have started that way before cooking. Just all around okay.Food: 3/5
Took my daughter for an early dinner , had a Long Island ice tea , she had a French dip and I had a Reuben . Sandwiches were delicious and so were the drinks , highly recommended Server was prompt and friendlyFood: 5/5
I really enjoyed the atmosphere at Cheers Neighborhood Grill and Bar. there were families scattered thru the restaurant and a hand full of people socializing at the bar. the Saganaki appetizer experience was exciting to watch as the flames overcame the cheese. our steak was tender and cooked to perfection although the rice was under cooked and didn't have great flavor and the shrimp scampi tasted like honey mustard not buttery like it should have. the creamy Cajun pasta sauce was amazing! just a little spicy and lots of shrimp in the dish. the Italian Moscato was very good, I just wish more restaurants would offer local wines especially considering the fact that Michigan has such great wine country and a multitude of wineries.
