Decent happy hour worth going to for cheap drinks and small plates. While we were there we saw a few people getting buckets of oysters and shucking themselves which looked like a better alternative to some of the items we tried. It is a small place with just a few tables and pretty much every seat was filled for happy hour. Nothing blew our mind but nothing disappointed us either.
There isn't a lot of seating, so you may have to wait, but it's worth it. I ordered the boil, and it's one of the best I've had. The butter sauce is AMAZING.Food: 5/5
Drove from St. George, SC after I called to ensure they had whole shell steamed oyster buckets. When I called a lady with black hair and glasses told me that they had it and didn’t explain anything about that they may run out. After the long drive I get there the server told me they ran out. Which was fine, then we ordered other food and made sure the server knew not to season the potatoes so that our baby could have something to eat since there was no kids meal we just went with unseasoned potatoes. The lady who I spoke to on the phone came to our table and said they can’t do that because the potatoes came that way. We said no thanks we will go somewhere else meanwhile we haven’t gotten our food yet and the lady started yelling at us saying it was $100 something dollar worth of food and we can’t just leave. Again she came to us saying the potatoes can’t get cooked like that because “they come that way”. She had attitude that a tea and Shirley temple for our nephew needs to get paid for. We put cash down and was packing up again said about the price and then proceeded to say just gtfo. Which was very out of the blue and nobody was rude to her. This was the worst experience I’ve had at a restaurant. There’s no reason a bartender who’s intoxicated should be in charge of the hospitality of the whole restaurant. I will explain to the owner when I call back tomorrow at how terrible service this was. I don’t care if you end up having the best time here, the vibes are not right with a family setting which I did not expect as I saw plenty of children. Very unprofessional and I’m shocked I got cussed out at. 0/10
We were looking for good seafood but a little cheaper than the "seaside" places. Not disappointed! Made happy hour and an extra special $1.00 each oysters. They were great. The fried and boiled seafood platters were great too. Our server, Ashley?? was awesome. We arrived at opening time and it got full fast. Very nice time, completely recommend Pier 41 in Mt Pleasant.
Local place with Dog friendly patio! I had the lobster rice mac and cheese which was very good. And huge. I'm having the rest for breakfast. Our server john was a bit busy but he got the food out fast and took the time to answer my questions. Overall good service and good food.Food: 5/5
Our food was delicious. Much better than some of the other restaurants in town. We went at happy hour and the specials were excellent. Plan on going back soon.Food: 5/5
Met friends here for early dinner that we hadn't seen for 7 years. Was a great place to catchup. Good happy hour and food was good. Would have liked a couple more grilled or blackened options. They were nice to fix grilled shrimp tacos for us even though they were not on the menu.Food: 4/5
Crab legs were fresh and steamed perfectly. Calamari was delicious. Staff was friendly and fast. Atmosphere is casual. Super happy we came here! One of the best meals we had on our trip.Food: 5/5
In Isle of Palms on vacay and was a little skeptical about $1 oysters for Monday happy hour, but these freshies from James River Va were awesome! Our bartender/waitress was super nice and attentive! The guy shucking the oysters chatted us up the whole time. Dude shucked over 200 oysters the hour and a half we spent there. We only had oysters so can’t speak to the rest of the menu, except the beer was cold and they were not stingy with the champagne. 48 oysters, 3 beers, countless glasses of champagne = $96. Beat that!!
Ordered happy hour oysters. They didn’t look super fresh but I was prepared to eat them. Then saw that one of them had a small worm like creature in the shell. I watched it for a full minute to make sure I wasn’t seeing things, but it was alive and undulating. We called the waitress over and she took it away and said she didn’t see anything. I left straight away because not only is their seafood questionable, but the staff brushed off my pretty valid concern.
