This place took a great deal of effort on the part of the citizens and the city to get built. There are two parts to it. One part is the Cherokee strip Museum, which is an up-to-date Museum detailing the history of Enid and the surrounding Community. The other part is the Humphrey Heritage Village, which has a series of restored old buildings dating from the time when this part of Oklahoma was first opened up for settlement. It is a great place to visit, and very friendly for kids.

Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center is a great place to take your family and/or class on a trip. There is so much to learn with original buildings to look at. It is like you are taking a trip back in time with the amazing role players. I am going to give Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center a 5-5

the focus is on the famous Land Run for early settlers to the Oklahoma Territories. Very knowledgeable staff, can either have a guided tour or simply wander throughout the museum on your own. Exhibits both inside and out. Special exhibits include Vance Air Force Base history and Randolph College history.

Great museum for a town this size. Definitely would recommend visiting once if you want something different to do, or would enjoy learning the history of the area.
