My dog is 12 yrs old next month and has been seeing Dr. Ballard for 3 years, Sammie actually enjoys visiting him and especially the front office staff & technicians. We have lived in several states and I can say without hesitation, Cheshire Crossing is the best clinic Sammie has enjoyed visiting. 

She is a special dog with complicated issues caused by a considerable amount of false positive blood tests. So it takes an understanding vet to treat her conditions properly. Dr. Ballard also spends plenty of time going into the details of a potential illness, so I thoroughly understand how to make an informed decision. 

The only minor problem is the location, as I live on the west side of Delaware but I'm still willing to make the trip.

NIGHT AND DAY difference from other vets I've been to!!! This place is the most amazing vet office around. If you want supreme care for your pet, this is the place. They know their stuff and operate at the safest and most caring standards. I'm extremely impressed by this practice. Love taking my new kitten here :)😸

Amazing doctors and staff!!  The doctors always go over and above the call of duty.  Dr. Carpenter came in after hours to examine my dog Annie when she was attacked by another dog. Her calming manner made an extremely stressful and upsetting time better for both of us. Dr. Ballard was able to do reconstructive surgery to repair the wound and Annie is now good as new!! I have full trust and confidence in Dr. Carpenter and Dr. Ballard!

I have brought every single one of my dogs here, I absolutely love them!  They are very personal with each client and make you and your pet comfortable and cared for.  They get straight to the point and don't try to squeeze any unnecessary money out of you which is AMAZING.  I couldn't imagine going anywhere else.

I appreciate that Dr. Ballard explains what he's doing as he's examining my cats. I always learn something new and it's reassuring to know he's doing a thorough exam. 
Dr. Ballard is very kind, patient, and knowledgeable. He takes his time answering my (sometimes many) questions. It's obvious to me he chose his profession because of his compassion for animals, which is quite important to me.
